The 80s VCR changed home entertainment forever, as for the first time families could watch whatever movie they wanted, at whatever time they wanted.
Did your 80s VCR sit there forever blinking "12:00" like ours did, because nobody ever bothered to learn how to change it.😁
These cameras were so popular back in the 1980s, no more waiting two weeks to get your film developed.
I'll bet you owned one.

Today, October 26th, is the real 'Back To The Future' day.
It is the day Marty meets Doc Brown at Twin Pines Mall, witnesses the first successful time-travel experiment, and accidentally travels back to 1955 in the DeLorean.
It is also the day in 1985 that he returns to.
By coincidence, it was also the day I went to see the movie in the cinema, Saturday October 26th 1985.
This video of a nightclub from 1986 had me LOL.
Why? Because the hairstyles are just wild. The 80s were awsome.
Enjoy.
Do you remember these?
We had one of these in our house until 1985.
We were lucky though, as a few of my friends didn't even have a phone in their house.
Today we remember Lisa Blount, star of 80s hit 'An Officer And A Gentleman', who passed away on this day, October 25th, 2010.
For fans of 'Back To The Future' you can get a model Delorean signed by Michael J Fox or Christopher Lloyd at the website below.

Many of us will have happy memories of the Commodore 64, our first home computer back in the 80s.
Did you have one?
Back in the 1980s in the UK and Ireland, they didn't carve out pumpkins for Halloween, they carved out turnips.
Just like this.
The training footage in Russia from 1985s 'Rocky IV' is always worth another watch.
It's so motivational and the music is great.
I could watch this all day. teapawt.net/xmikemac/status/211345…
What was the worst sequel to an 80s movie?
For me it was 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps'. What a terrible movie that was. It was absolutely dire.
I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a sequel, to what was one of the best movies of the 1980s, Wall Street.
If any of you are feeling nostalgic for Blockbuster Video, there is one remaining Blockbuster store left in the world.
It is in Bend, Oregon, at 211 NE Revere Avenue.
As the last one, the location has become a popular tourist destination and it was the subject of the 2020 documentary film 'The Last Blockbuster'.
About 80% of the store's income comes from selling merchandise.
