I just realized something. The reason I will carry the entire world on my shoulders until I've exhausted myself into complete burnout instead of simply asking for help is because the few times I've asked for help... I was punished for it.
Just me?
It is so terribly saddening when the scientific peer review process fails and scientists are blocked due to politics and bias. I know that the work that me and my co-authors have accomplished is novel, robust, and rigorous and look forward to its eventual official public debut.

Dr. Pedigo fundamentally changed how I learned biochemistry and enhanced my research understanding from a unique biochemical lens. She was also an amazing mentor to me, both personally and academically. I'm so lucky to have learned from her both in class and on my committee.
