Just integrated @Plaid into my personal accounting process to programatically fetch (almost) all my statements and transactions. Amazing agent assisted onboarding. Its almost fun.
The result of @sfgov’s progressive drug and crime policies is children stepping over dead bodies to walk their dog.

this is not a small group of people on the left anymore, but a large, dominant faction without whom democrats can’t win elections. and there is no debating them, because they aren’t interested in changing your mind. they just earnestly want you to die.
It ain’t called the great highway for nothing.
If you were to look at a map of San Francisco, it’s easy to see that cutting off the only western traffic corridor that allows commuters to avoid Golden Gate Park would increase congestion.
Instead of spreading out traffic evenly the permanent closure of the Great Highway has created concentrated bottlenecks in other parks that have roads such as Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, and many across the city. A weekday compromise could help elevate congestion and increase overall walkability in one of the most park friendly cities in the US.

We can deal with this on weekends, but can we share access on weekdays? Keep San Francisco moving on weekdays, let people get to work and kids go to school.

My father has never hugged me.
Not when I was born. Not at my graduation. Not when I left home.
That's normal for a Japanese father his age. Love is a full gas tank when you visit. A bag of oranges handed over without a word.
Last month, my friend from Texas came to dinner at my parents' house. When it was time to go, he did what Texans do.
He hugged my mother.
Then he turned around and hugged my father.
My father froze. Arms straight down. Like a soldier being hugged by a bear.
Three seconds. Nobody breathed.
After he left, my father sat at the table for a long time. Then he said:
"In America… do they do that with their fathers too?"
"Every time," I said.
He nodded. That was all.
Two weeks later, I went home for dinner. When I was leaving, my father stood up, walked to the door, and put his arms around me.
Badly. Like he was assembling furniture with no instructions.
I'm over forty. It was the first time.
He let go, looked at the floor, and said, "Drive safely."
My mother told me later he'd been practicing on the dog.

Great Highway 👇 A two-mile stretch of asphalt within the 50-acre Sunset Dunes.
What's wrong with sharing it on weekdays?
People need to get to work, and kids need to get to school. Then there's a construction project lasting two to six years that will involve more road closures.

The agents are getting more useful:
“Google added a CAPTCHA to the event registration. May I solve CAPTCHAs for these two registrations? You can also authorize me to handle future CAPTCHAs if you’d like.”
Just landed in Beijing to discover that I can't use ChatGPT. I've forgotten how to do so many things.

I am sick and tired of seeing another crash and praying nobody is hurt or killed.
Neighbors keep raising concerns about traffic and congestion, too many near misses, only to face shaming, retaliation, and claims that we're imagining what we experience.
Permanent closure of the Great Highway didn't make commuters disappear. It pushed traffic onto other Westside streets. Dismissing our experiences with manipulated data that don't capture our daily reality doesn't solve anything.
Cars are tools. People need reliable transportation. We need to get to work, take our kids to school, and care for our families.
Why should commuters bear longer trips, bumper-to-bumper traffic, and added pressure on neighborhood streets so others can have a public road exclusively near empty every weekday? Use the existing paved pathways, beach and promenades. Why must walk on asphalt highway on weekdays? Just to prove you can have everything you want and that you're more privileged than everyone else?
This war on cars hurts working people. Let us get to work. Let us afford to stay in San Francisco.
Enough is enough. What is wrong with sharing the Great Highway? The two-mile asphalt roadway is not the entire 50-acre park. Recreation matters and so do the people who need weekday road access.
Sharing means recognizing that other people have needs, too.
Weekday access. Recreation on weekends and holidays. A fair compromise. YES on G. Learn to share in San Francisco.
