On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I want to say something plainly:
Maine has failed the Wabanaki Nations — the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, the Mi’kmaq Nation, the Passamaquoddy Tribe, and the Penobscot Nation — by refusing to fully recognize and respect their inherent sovereignty. In the U.S. Senate, I’ll fight to change that.
More and more Mainers, across party lines, recognize the harm these restrictions have caused. The Wabanaki Nations deserve the same rights to govern themselves as other federally recognized tribes.
Learning from our tribal neighbors and standing alongside them in this fight has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I’ll carry that commitment with me to Washington.

I honestly don’t know how folks in Maine are supposed to afford to heat their homes this winter.
Donald Trump and Susan Collins owe them an answer. Their war in Iran is making life even more expensive for people already struggling to get by.

Today, we honor Indigenous peoples, their histories, cultures, and continued presence in Minnesota and across the country.
This morning, I joined the sunrise ceremony at Bde Maka Ska, taking time to reflect, listen, and honor the Indigenous communities whose connection to this land long predates our state.
On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and every day, we must honor Indigenous sovereignty, uplift Native voices, and continue the work of building a future rooted in respect and justice.

It’s official: I am running for US Senate.
This fight is personal for me. I’ve spent my life standing up for working people, and that’s exactly what I’ll do in the United States Senate. Change can’t wait, and I won’t either.

Jake Sullivan had his spokesperson call into NPR *during @AkbarSAhmed's interview* to complain he was treated unfairly in Ahmed's book about how the Biden administration fathered the Gaza genocide.
Sullivan wants us to know he was in fact "working tirelessly" to help Gaza.
