AB 665 in California has passed the senate. It is predicted that it will pass the assembly, and Newsom has already sworn to sign it into law. 12 year olds will be given the ability to decide if they want to live at home, or if they want to go under the care of the State of California into a shelter.
In California, legislators believe that no one under the age of 26 should be interrogated by an attorney because their prefrontal cortex is not yet fully developed. They have also passed bills stating that vape manufacturers cannot target anyone under the age of 26 for the same reasons.
Yet they are willing to give children the ability to leave home. Children will have the ability to tell a school counselor that “they don’t feel supported” and they can be removed and rehomed without parental knowledge. 12 year olds also have medical privacy in California, which means parents will not be given a reason but will still be financially responsible for care.

For those attending @SDCC2023, I will have not 1, not 2, but three brand new novels out this year.
For fans of #scifi there is Magicfall, a futuristic Earth where technology has become magic.
For fans of my #creativewriting teaching you'll be able to get my next Drake's Brutal Writing Advice book, The Ultimate Guide to being a Showy, Immersive Writer.
And for my #epicfantasy fans, the first book in the massive, and highly awaited Realm of the Dying Sun will be making its pre-release debut.
Hope to see everyone there!
Ok. Fact checking gone wrong.
If it isn't a big deal, why is only the Executive Branch part of deciding what will make up this Treaty? This is something our entire government body should DEBATE, not simply let someone else decide. We live in a Republic!

Please stop. Don’t let one person control our lives. Biden did this without senate or congress approval. It’s terrifying.

Makes me sooo mad. It should make everyone mad. I want to believe the US Government will hold this company accountable, but it will never happen without some massive, personal-profit-reducing initiatives. We need a #Revolution
Did I miss the memo? Why is Hillary Clinton depicted in the same sentence as “How many presidents…”?
Words and context matters. Have you learned nothing?
This has me thinking. How many Presidents have classified documents? And why didn’t anybody realize they were missing for years??? cnn.com/2023/01/16/politics/…
