At this point I think it’s best if we just turn off all the passwords to things and let nature take its course. We can rebuild from the ashes.

Several Linux Kernel Vulnerabilities Accidentally Posted To Public Kernel Mailing List

Seemingly as an accident, overnight several new Linux kernel vulnerability reports were posted to the public Linux kernel mailing list rather than the private security mailing list

“if the main thread becomes slow, create a second main thread” is what I imagine Philomena Cunk would say to me in an interview

some more iOS dev pro tips: - if a method is deprecated, that means apple finished working on it. it's actually more stable. - if the main thread becomes slow, create a second main thread. - if a view isn't appearing, set its zPosition to infinity. that's what infinity is for.

There's a new beta for macOS with a new, interesting feature: Upload Hooks. They allow you to call a URL, CLI command, or Apple Shortcut with information about the upload before or after the upload happens. It can help you to integrate Dropshare into even more workflows.

I don't think I ever swear on social media, but this one is worth it: holy shit! A JSON-based project format for Xcode! 🤯
Xcode now supports a JSON-based project format (.xcproj) that’s more readable, merge-friendly, and easier for coding agents to edit. Enable it in the file inspector. Projects using .xcproj also open in earlier versions of Xcode 27.

I just discovered an awesome compression algorithm: your 4000 word blog post can be compressed down to the prompt you gave Claude to write it.
