My letter to Minister Tanya Fir. We met at the #GGAward ceremony and I wanted to follow up with her in case she changes her mind.
Hope to hear from you soon @tanya_fir. The stakes have never been higher for queer and trans youth.

Appreciate the acknowledgment of my request to meet @ABDanielleSmith. Too bad we couldn’t discuss my letter over lunch, but technology is a wonderful thing.
Sent this response via email, but perhaps your staff who follow me here can flag it for you. I copied Minister Fir on this one as we met at the #GGAward ceremony.
Let me know what works for you. Thanks!
A huge loss. Deepest condolences to us all. Thank you for everything, Murray.

Honoured to deliver the keynote during the United Church Conference at Cowan Heights United. Great to finally meet the head of the UC of Canada, The Right Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne. This is what Christianity looks like. #Amen 🙏

Wonderful to see this @PremierofNL!
Indigenous leaders of our province have led the way when it comes to preserving the history of the Beothuk in Newfoundland and Labrador. It was with great pride that I joined them to unveil this breathtaking statue and artwork that symbolizes the important Indigenous history.

(Side note: Gemma is one of the contributors of Shame-Sex Attraction—I can’t wait for y’all to read his story!)
In Alberta on the 18th to receive a #GGAward in Commemoration of the Persons Case. Sent the premier a letter inviting her to lunch to chat about her proposed legislation.
Hope to hear from you soon @ABDanielleSmith. The rights (and lives) of trans kids hang in the balance.

There’s a war on trans bodies in North America. Because I’m no longer at war with myself, I’ll keep fighting for others.
Yesterday was #NationalComingOutDay. So is today and every other day.

The UCP policy resolutions are designed to continue to purge and erase trans people and their very existence. If passed, these would be some of the most hateful and discriminatory laws in the world.

@ABDanielleSmith it resembles the trans flag—same sky, different view. From above distinctions fade. Beauty remains. Like rights it should be recognized even if it’s not seen the same. A leader rises above. Calls for a new day where all have space to shine. #TransIsBeautiful
