I thought about my good friend, the late Ronny Shumate, during our broadcast last night. He always joked with me that Fyffe didn't know what a pass was. After Fyffe kicked it's 1st field goal of the season last night, my stats analyst said that was something more rare to see at Fyffe than a pass in the air. My mind immediately went to Ronny, and I heard his voice in my head. "Does Fyffe even know what a pass is? Those boys coming out of that hatchery they got up there only know how to run and tackle." I heard that and couldn't help but smile while shedding a tear. I miss my friend, my brother. I join so many in celebrating his birthday and memory. I love you, Ronny.

These types of games have become too commonplace under Kalen DeBoer. Uninspired, disinterested, beyond lackluster. Terrible, inconsistent, predictable play calls by Grubb. Womack's defense is softer than Charmin and he "supposedly" had one of the best secondaries returning in the country. Just pathetic.

Someone tell Gus Johnson that this Indiana team is not the national champions. I don't care if it's Indiana, Alabama, Ohio State, or anyone. No team this season has done anything, yet.

Last night, as the Fyffe Red Devils celebrated a 54-0 win over Sand Rock, I somewhat quietly celebrated a milestone in my broadcast career. Last night was my 200th game as a member of the broadcast team for the Fyffe Red Devils and @RDRSSportsNet. I chose not to say anything until the very end of the broadcast because I have always tried to operate the show, and now our company, as a tool to promote and support others with no selfish will or intent of gain. But I would be lying if I said that it is not a blessing to me to get to do this every week. It is an honor and a privilege to serve this community. I am forever grateful 🙏.

Coach Kelly of @JSUGamecocks is all class! He just ran onto the field to a KSU lineman who went down to a nasty leg injury. Screaming in pain, Coach Kelly grabbed his hand & tried to comfort him. I met & talked with Coach in his office last year. He is a man of high character!

Hey @CollegeGameDay, @spann SHOULD BE the guest picker next Saturday! He's done so much for this state & her people. The guest picker should be someone who has something to do with the place you do the show from. Spann is easily one of the most recognized voices & faces in AL!
