I see a lot of YouTubers responding to this with transparency, I'll hop on. I make between $900 - $1300 per month on YT, usually around half of it coming from 2 or 3 "big" Shorts (~3M views) or a successful proper upload. The rest is just vestigial engagement of old uploads I dunno. I think being open about it can be helpful to people looking to start monetizing themselves just in terms of expectations. Pretty much any other "job" can give you a salary range, but YT is so case by case, it's nice to have multiple reference points
