20 years ago I was diagnosed with #multiplesclerosis, and was told to stay quiet about the illness, because “No one wants to see a sick person on TV.”
Happy I didn’t listen. To all those who share the disease, I will continue to stand tall, be an advocate and raise awareness.
I have the fish heads song stuck in my head. #rolypolyfishheads

Hey All! I'm back after a 2 year hiatus. I'm currently looking for ideas for a bake sale to give to a charity. Any help would be appreciated.

There are lots of "multiples" I wouldn't mind having... multiple chocolate bars, multiple days off from work, multiple song downloads... but NOT multiple sclerosis.

I'm sick. I'm not stupid or mentally disabled. I'm not crazy. It's not stress. It's not in my head. I'm not causing this myself. I'm not making it up. I'm learning about myself every day. How well I deal with this sickness. I can still do things for myself but I may need help.

If your embrace of diversity, civil rights, human rights and justice does not include disabled people, you have embraced ableism.

To deem someone a burden is to deem them unworthy and treat them as such.
