Just finished a new paywall for Ellua.
Trying to make it feel clear and supportive without becoming too salesy.
What’s your honest first impression?
Anything confusing, missing, or too much?
I used to get discouraged whenever I found an app that already did what I wanted to build.
Now I’m starting to see it differently.
Someone already making money with that idea is probably a better sign than finding absolutely no competition.
Still feels weird though
Vibe coding can get pretty monotonous sometimes.
You know what you want, prompt it, wait, test, prompt again.
The weird part is the waiting.
If I start working on something else, I feel like I’m splitting my attention too much.
So… what do you guys actually do while your agent is working?
News like this makes me think the $500 plan won’t just be “more usage”.
My fear is they’ll move today’s $200-level usage up to $500 and make the lower tiers more restrictive.
Really hope I’m wrong
Found a pretty nice open-source ASO tool today.
It has some genuinely useful free features and might be a good alternative if TryAstro feels too limited without paying.
Thought I’d share it for anyone doing App Store keyword research:
github.com/respectlytics/res…
Today I started writing down everything I’ve learned from vibe coding and shipping my first app.
What worked. What didn’t. The mistakes I don’t want to repeat.
I’m planning to keep updating it as I build more apps.
Does anyone else keep a “lessons learned” doc like this?
If software is becoming content, what would make you actually watch software?
Not use it. Watch it.
Come back tomorrow just to see what happened.
I think software is becoming a medium, not just a tool.
What would you build?
I’m convinced we’re entering the “software as content” era.
Building is becoming so cheap that software itself can be content.
“Build something weird. Get attention. Move on.”
Not every app needs to become a business.
GPT-5.6 Luna Max is ridiculously cheap.
I used it for a full hour and barely burned through 1% of my usage on the $100 plan.
Sol plans. Luna executes.
Got my first trial ever.
MRR: emotionally infinite.
I will now act financially irresponsible for the next 24 hours.
Added Ellua to @trust_mrr today.
No revenue yet.
But the $0 MRR is now verified, which feels extremely official.
Working on implementing my first paywall ever.
I’ve never asked people to pay for something I built before, so this feels weirdly new.
Building is fun.
Asking for money is a different kind of scary.
But I guess that’s part of becoming a builder too.
Learning to believe that the value you create is allowed to have a price.
I’ve been fighting a bug for days that appeared after implementing onboarding.
First time I actually hated that I vibe coded parts of my app.
No model solved it reliably yet.
But maybe that’s the real lesson.
AI can build fast, but you still need to understand your own app well enough to debug it.
X feels messy, but real.
People are more direct here.
Less polished.
Less corporate.
More willing to say what they actually think.
LinkedIn feels like everyone is speaking through a “business appropriate” filter.
codex is the first coding agent i actually trust
feels like having a senior dev next to me who doesn’t judge my prompts
Trying Apple Ads for the first time.
Still figuring out Basic vs Advanced and what actually fits Ellua.
Honestly, I enjoy this phase.
Building the foundation, learning the tools, and getting better through experience 🫡
My first step when building a new app is not coding.
It is explaining the idea to my coding agent until he can create proper documentation.
I ask for clarifying questions, blind spots, edge cases, user flows, and things I probably forgot.
A real app needs a foundation.
For me, documentation is layer one.
I’ve been on X for a few months and my account is barely growing.
I should post more, but my mental filter is way too strong.
I keep thinking:
“what should I even write?”
“why would anyone care?”
“is this too niche?”
“is this cringe?”
Having my real name and photo here doesn’t make it easier.
So here you go.
Posting anyway 🫡
