Anduril Founder @PalmerLuckey: “A lot of people say: ‘I can’t believe Palmer named his company after something from the LOTR… Tolkien hated war.’” “Tolkien was not someone who was pro-war by any means… but he did believe in good and evil. He did believe in wars that needed to be fought.” “One of the interesting themes of [LOTR] is how the people who live far away from Mordor, they don’t believe that these monsters exist.” “And I think that describes a lot of Americans. You’ll talk to people that say: ‘I think that nobody’s truly evil, that nobody deserves to die.’” “There are a lot of people on the frontlines of conflicts who don’t have the luxury of that… Someone who’s looked evil in the eye can’t pretend it doesn’t exist.” Anduril, Flame of the West 🔥⚔️

Minnesota is proof positive how broken “liberal” ideology is. In their haste to “create more equity”, “right historic wrongs”, “celebrate diversity” and all manner of other well established orthodoxy, they have instead, completely upended the rule of law, enabled rampant fraud while looking the other way and through their voting laws have broken down the integrity of their state’s democracy. Truly insane stuff going on there rn…

A lot of people have asked me if I will get involved in the NYC mayor race by supporting a candidate that can defeat Zohran Mamdani. TBH, I’m torn and undecided. Like every other city run by democrats, NYC is a broken kleptocracy. Taxes are astronomical and services are pathetic to nonexistent. Anarchy and socialism are the next logical steps in this story arc. It's what the people of NYC have been asking for for years and it looks like it's what they are about to get. Trying to fight against this tide seems like throwing good money after bad. It appears things will have to get worse in NYC before they get better. The Zoomers and Millennials need a refresher on the outcome of Marxism and socialism. They are too young to remember the crack and crime epidemic and murder sprees of the late 80's and early 90's. The squeegee men, graffiti, mugging, lawlessness, chaos, and pandemonium. Streets that were too unsafe to walk alone at night or even during the day. Getting mugged on the way to and from school was not just a rite of passage, it was an inevitability. The Wall Streeters, financiers, and hedge funders have been too busy working on their fishponds and climbing the rungs of polite society to remember to protect the system that allowed them to achieve their success in the first place and allowed New York City to once become the greatest city in the world. Not ruffling feathers was more important than questioning the ideological insanity being taught in the private schools and universities that they sent their kids to. All that mattered was fitting in and getting invited to the right dinner parties. Now their kids are indoctrinated NPCs, always protesting and supporting the current thing. Like their parents, they too want to fit in. To do so, they unironically exchange bromides and platitudes on the benefits of socialism over rosé brunches in the West Village. Because their friends hate America and capitalism, they do too. It never dawns on them that their lifestyle and studio apartment that their parents subsidize are all made possible because of capitalism. This delusional thinking was ingrained in them at an early age by institutions that were captured by insane ideology and left unchecked by their grossly negligent parents. Instead of providing their children with immunity from stupid and provably bad ideas that have only led to misery and death throughout history, these parents shrugged it off as kids will be kids. Now these kids are adults who can vote, but are totally unequipped to do so. In many ways it’s not their fault. From their parents, they learned some combination of magical thinking, preference falsification, and an inability to stand up for anything greater than themselves. As a result, they never learned how to think critically or independently. They never learned the value of Western civilization so they don't understand why, or know how, to fight for it. Sometimes the only way to learn something is to learn it the hard way. Sometimes the only way to learn the value of what you have is to lose it. If that’s the case, Marxism and socialism might just be what the doctor ordered.

BREAKING: Chicago City Council has voted to protect ShotSpotter with a 33-14 defeat for Mayor Brandon Johnson. This is a historic loss for Johnson, who canceled the contract, and a win for the vast majority of Chicago voters who supported this commonsense alert system. Thank you to everyone who used @illinoispolicy’s Take Action tool to make your voices heard. 🙏
Chicago’s gunshot detection system, ShotSpotter, is scheduled to shut down on Sunday, Sept. 22. Sound irresponsible? It is. Brandon Johnson and his allies in the Chicago Teachers Union have been fighting to kill the ShotSpotter program for months. But you can take action to save ShotSpotter before it’s too late. City Council is scheduled to vote this Wednesday on an ordinance allowing Police Superintendent Larry Snelling to keep the ShotSpotter technology online, regardless of what Johnson says. You can contact your alderman directly and tell them to vote YES on ShotSpotter using the link below. As always, please be respectful when contacting your City Council member. Many aldermen want to keep the technology, and don’t agree with Johnson’s radical stance. In fact, recent polling shows support for keeping ShotSpotter is highest among Black (78% in favor) and Latino (73%) voters who live in communities where gun violence is highest. Just a few thoughtful notes from constituents can be enough to make a real difference for public safety in Chicago. A recent study from the University of Chicago found that ShotSpotter saves an estimated 85 lives per year due to faster police response times. That means your outreach could literally save lives. Just a few thoughtful notes from constituents can be enough to make a real difference for public safety in Chicago. ⬇️

I can’t believe I have to explain what’s happening here, but here goes. Elite students of Ivy League schools have glamorized oppression so much that they have now reached role play status to satisfy their fantasies. Here, the students have appropriated the suffering of Gazans and are cosplaying as living through humanitarian crisis. In their American make-believe story where Ivy League infrastructure sets the scene, the students play Gazans and the school administration plays Israel. Israel (the school) is blocking their “basic humanitarian aid” in this play, and if they don’t receive it soon, they will “die of thirst and starvation” (appropriating exact experiences of Gazans). They also destroy upper class buildings and claim them as “liberated” while the students repeat chants in zombie-like chorus, playing the roll of “freedom fighters” destroying Israeli infrastructure and claiming them freed. If I’m alive in a world where people don’t see the levels of perversion in this, I give up. You don’t see this in lower tier schools from kids of lower socio-economic standing because they aren’t plagued with the guilt of privilege that they’re seeking to launder through Middle East role plays of feigned suffering. This is as first world dystopia as it gets. Meanwhile, these Ivy League students who can have much more than a glass of water and as much food as their stomachs can take are commanding the attention of the media and the entire American audience, while actual Gazans who need humanitarian aid are ignored. I still have to pinch myself that people don’t see this.

Everyone can now unfollow The Daily Northwestern, they got their traction, got their head on a stake. Let’s be patient and see how all the sources check out when everything comes out. You can find some of these less juicy source points at the end of the @espn articles. From what I can see, the primary source: A kid with a documented and recorded vendetta admitting to exaggerating details with the goal of getting Fitz fired, then all those spited who piled on, some who have shown previous support of Fitz and his character since they played.. In my opinion: Less than great sources. 👍🏽 I do not condone bullying or hazing of any kind, but the locker room at any level is not a perfect place, I’ll wait while you name a place that is.. That doesn’t make any of the alleged incidents, if factual, okay or free from consequence. But Friendly reminder: You can’t undo your rushed articles, and your click bait headlines that helped smear a good man. Everyone that wrote opinion pieces for attention, got their two cents in, and tweeted and piled on will think they played no part in this. The single raindrop never feels responsible for the flood, but you played your part. Let’s all be better when it comes to people’s livelihood and reputations. Leadership is being held accountable for things outside of your control. And of course, like his entire career, Fitz will handle this with the highest quality integrity and character. Gutted by the news. Was truly an honor to play for you @coachfitz51

🧵My 5 years under @coachfitz51 as a Northwestern walk on to eventual team captain were incredibly formative for me as a young man. Coach Fitz emphasized respect, honesty and honoring NU. (1/7)
Statement from Northwestern’s entire team pushing back against the allegations of hazing, which they call “exaggerated and twisted.” They also say coach Pat Fitzgerald had no knowledge or involvement in the allegations.
