Last week I finally built a project portfolio for myself. Now I have the documentation of my career and what I have built. As a visual person it was the proof that can’t be displayed on a resume

Men may admire intelligent women in principle, yet respond differently when confronted with their intelligence in person. As I told @JosieCox_NYC, it is another way women are considered 'never quite right' at work.

Since this last post, it's become clearer that talent is AI safety's biggest constraint, and we want this event to help people enter the field.
Most attendees will still already be working in AIS and I expect will get a lot of value from connecting with each other, but we’re increasing the number of attendees who are talented, informed and looking to enter the field, and adding programming to connect them with opportunities.
I hope to see you there!

I think it would be great for someone to run an EAG for AI safety event very soon.
I think it could be put together in a month (although I have no actual events-running knowledge). I think it would be great to get everyone who's newly interested in this stuff to have somewhere to be, with some decent talks and decent people to learn from.
In-person connections are really valuable, and there are a lot of people newly changing their minds. It'd be great to have somewhere to send them.

Anthropic's S-1 tells investors AI could pose catastrophic and even existential risks to humanity.
That warning went to the people deciding whether to buy shares. In a document most of the public will never open.
Who is the warning actually for?? Did you read the full S-1?
I did….
