Had the Camas boy been in the boys’ varsity division last Saturday, he’d have finished 115th out of 130. With that said, he would not even have been in the boys varsity race at all because he’d be behind too many other Camas HS boys.
Washington State will do nothing before this Saturday’s race about the girls who will be cheated out of participating because he took their spot.
There are several girls across the state who have worked really hard to get where they are as cross-country runners who will likely beat him in Pasco (if he shows up).
Those girls all deserve to be celebrated for making it to state without distractions like him.
End the madness. Vote YES on I-638.
