Finally it is time for the big boys of @Storm_rfc_ug to start their season against the financial heavy weights of Sharks. First Class 15's are back!
As a level 3 referee myself I will attest they were excellent. All three have a bright future in the game.
A disappointing day at the office yesterday as @Mongersrugby put on a defensive master class.
We would like take the opportunity to thank @UgandaRugby for the game but especially for the officials. The centre ref & both AR's were outstanding. Hopefully we see more of all three.
It has been a lot of hard work; now it is time for the fun.

Been a long time since I left Newport Schools after leaving Caldicot for Ponty.
But in retirement I have found a love of rugby here in Uganda and especially amongst kids. We even have a street kids programme that is reuniting families & accessing services for the kids.

Now it gets serious; Fiki hangs up his whistle and prepares some special Bagalana magic for the playing field gelling this week with his good mate and fellow 7's Crane Jacob Ochen. Special watching those 2 in training tonight.
Of the many things I love about Uganda probably the main one is for the ability of Ugandans to find joy in the midst of sometimes huge challenges.

Surgery went well and thanks to Dr Stain or dynamic flanker he is getting lots of extra attention from the nurses.
This is why we need help with welfare. Nutrition when young causes some strange fractures in young 0layers. This 18 year old has a job to look after Mum & siblings. We will get his surgery done but any help from Wales is much appreciated @FoNRTrust @ThefluidDruids @NewportRFC

Both Under 18's crowns for girls & boys were taken by Walukuba
A great day was had by all and everyone is looking forward to the 15's version next holidays

Welfare is paramount; yesterday we supplied 30 mouth guards to youngsters & each kids session needs 100 litres of porridge.
This holiday programme has been amazing with numbers. This week we are up to 5 jerry cans of porridge - 100 litres of nutrition!
But in just 2 weeks complete beginners are ready to play the game. Friday is going to be a fantastic day!
From Bugiri to the Nile teams are gathering for our Holiday Age Grade Bonanza.
A feast of rugby from little tots up to Under 18's.
