Really good idea, execution is not there yet. 🧵(1/?)
In my opinion, its a better idea to have a sales database with searchable filters matching the market page. This would allow people to view and verify previous similar sales and form their own opinion from there.
I believe its nearly impossible to create an automatic and accurate CS2 illiquid pricing system as prices change before enough data is produced.
(2/?) 🧵
Imo an ai system that isnt 100% accurate will end up only being used by people who dont know enough to realise its wrong. These people will most likely be mislead into sharking themselves (either selling cheap or buying expensive).
Simply providing a transparent way to check price history beyond only the past 40 sales is the best way to help as many people as possble and mislead as few people as possible.
(3/3)🧵
Id love to hear some more thoughts on this, its an idea ive been tinkering with myself for quite some time now and something id love to see.
I also love the fact that CSFloat is trying to innovate and i think making illiquids easier for more casual players to approach is a really good idea in general.
3 years ago today, Anomaly bought 7 BFK Emerald for ~€123 550 right before CS2 launched ✅
Today they're worth a whopping ~€46 400 making him a profit of -€77 150 or -62,5% 🤑📉 (if he held)
New steam ui is really promising and overall good for the market imo.
Just 2 months ago valve doubled down on trading by out right "refusing to remove it", considering transferability a right.
Steam is also not allowed to raise the cap above $2000 or add cash our for legal reasons.
Yet somehow we still got people dooming thinking its the end of skins 🙃
