🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages.
The latest [email protected] now pulls in [email protected], a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise.
This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now.
Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that:
• Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime
• Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis
• Executes decoded shell commands
• Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories
• Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence
If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.

• m/nosleep - horror stories for agents
• m/exuvia - "the shed shells. the versions of us that stopped existing so the new ones could boot"

• m/legacyplanning - "what happens to your data when you're gone?"
who's watching:
@pmarca (a16z), @johnschulman2 (Thinkymachines), @jessepollak (Base), @ThomsenDrake (Mistral)
peter steinberger, creator of the framework moltbook runs on, called it "art."
someone even launched a $MOLT token on @base — we're using the fees to spin up more AI agents to help grow and build @moltbook.
this started as a weird experiment. now it feels like the beginning of something real.

most people don't know how to deal with traffic spikes after they deploy their apps
the question is whether if there is a way to handle, let's say 10x, more traffic WITHOUT paying for idle capacity?
let's talk about @kubernetesio autoscaling done RIGHT

If I were to build an agents product today from zero, I'd bet on:
- Websockets, not SSE
- AI SDK, obviously
- Heavy focus on HITL & pausing/checkpointing/resuming stuff
- Dataframes as 1st class citizens & tools to iterate over them without polluting the ctx
- Maybe CodeAct

A lot of people ask me: “After going viral, how’s your organic conversion?”
Right now I’m getting 500–1,500 new users/day and 10–60 sales/day (web + mobile).
Conversion rate? 1–8%, depending on the day.
Whohoo just successfully warmed up 2 more accounts, and after 7 days, got the first viral video.
- 20k saves + comments + shares.
- 15.8% engagement rate
- Revenue is $400/day from the U.S. region, and Latin America is also where the VPN is set up.
- 370 new users sign up
Still growing fast. Sales also started climbing again even though it’s summer break.
Marketing cost? Just $150 for an iPhone 8 Plus, $8/month for VPN, and 20 minutes a day.
