I wonder if I have any mutuals within reasonable distance for an IRL meetup? I’d love to turn some of y’all into real connections. We need to find each other.
Anyone in one of the following counties?
Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Denton, Collin, Hunt, Delta, Hopkins, Franklin, Dallas, Rockwall, Kaufman, Van Zandt, Rains, Wood
Could go a little outside that area if you’re close.
Happy to DM or start a chat or something.

Over the last decade, millions of Christians have become far more politically discerning.
They’ve considered content from outside “approved” channels.
IOW, they’ve done what Darling suggests here.
And Darling and his peers are not happy with the consequences.

Again, the age of discourse is over... at least insofar as "discourse" meant two groups of people with increasingly incompatible and hostile worldviews working through their differences via the traditional liberal mechanisms of open debate, free elections, and parliamentary procedure.
No one even pays lip service to the idea that these things can settle our differences at this point. The mask is just falling off the face of the liberal order in real time because it was never truly a purely moral system like it pretended to be.
It was a political system masquerading as a moral one, and like all political systems, it can't adjudicate what politics is supposed to be for, or who it should serve.
You can expect more and more of this until one side simply crushes the other.
Good. They should be afraid after decades of abusing the American people. There will eventually be a price to pay.

The nations are God's idea. He "made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place" (Acts 17:26).
A civil servant who will not guard his own people's inheritance has failed his duty of office. And the denominational agencies that lived for decades on federal resettlement grants have no standing to lecture the rest of us about what the way of Jesus requires at the border.
How they go on not being deported, while Americans are punished with crushing bureaucracy: it’s a choice. It’s on purpose.
How do undocumented immigrants "live in our communities for decades" without being deported? My late father failed to sign the 2019 tax return that he mailed into the IRS during April 2020. This triggered a multi-year investigatory process involving multiple IRS employees. I had to respond to about 20 letters and phone calls, mostly with "Both of my parents are dead and I don't have any of their financial documents from 2019." At stake was about $6,000 that the IRS thought my dad had owed because they ignored his (filed-but-not-signed) return with all of the deductions, such as the medical expenses of two people in their 80s, listed. By the time the dust settled, the IRS decided that actually my father had been owed a $4,000 refund that he never got. 61% of undocumented immigrant households use welfare, which can easily be 100 times more expensive, over the years, than what was at stake with my father's 2019 taxes. How is it possible that we have had no mechanism for sending home the vast majority of those who have no legal right to be in the U.S.?

When politics is existential the virtuous participant becomes irrelevant
No, Abbott’s presidential chances were destroyed by Ron DeSantis who showed Abbott up in terms of courage and actual right-wing political victories

It’s funny how the “Christianity has nothing to do with the secular political order” team immediately cites someone’s Christianity when making the case for his right to live in the political order. Christianity suddenly supersedes all socio-political dynamics. Christianity’s singular role in our system is to sanction postwar liberalism.

Was the Aztec culture “ready” for the Spanish to stop the child sacrifices? Was the Hindu culture “ready” for the British to stop the widow burning? Was the Dahomey culture “ready” for the French to stop the annual sacrifices?
We cannot simply wait until the culture is “ready” before obeying God and establishing justice. Because men are wicked by nature, we need civil government to legislate morality, restraining evil and even shaping the culture toward righteousness over the course of time.
We cannot simply wait until our culture is “ready” to abolish abortion. If we wait for our culture to be “ready,” abolition will never occur.

Curious how the usual suspects are defending Samuel Sey, saying "He's not an illegal immigrant".
Well...uh, how do you know that? Maybe you're right, and if so hopefully ICE resolves it quickly. But also maybe they know something you don't know.

As of today, more Democrats have voted in Texas than Republicans.
Go vote today, and get a few patriotic friends to vote over the weekend.
Let’s turn this thing around.

This blew up because people realize the age of discourse is coming to a close.
Discourse itself is meaningless at this point because discourse requires moral alignment, which is precisely the thing we are now fighting over.
Every other question has already been answered and there is nothing more to debate. The only thing left to do is to act, or be destroyed.
You need to understand how Right-wing people under 40 view the Left.
When we think of Leftists, we do not think of Barack Obama or Ezra Klein. Yes, these guys are on the Left, but younger Millennials and Zoomers on the Right do not think of Leftists in their own age bracket as polished technocrats.
These are not the sort of people that make up our Left-wing counterparts that we grew up with, went to school with, or work with.
When we think of Leftists, the first thing that pops into our head are a bunch of disgusting, depraved, spiteful mutants who want to destroy everything around them as payback for the crime of being born.
We think of Discord troons that invaded our hobbies, Reddit mods who are drunk on the most insignificant power imaginable, that one girl from high school or college who became a literal Communist, and that friend or family member who cut off all contact because we refused to treat their mental illness like a status symbol.
We think of people who, if they ever became a majority of the country and actually managed to possess political power, would inevitably kill tens of millions of people out of blind envy and petty cruelty.
Younger people on the Right come across as impatient and anxious in their mindset and mannerisms because they understand what will eventually happen when these people succeed their Gen X and Boomer predecessors in the Democratic Party.
They know what is to come if their own generational cohorts on the Left actually take power, and they feel incredibly exasperated that it seems like none of their parents or grandparents understand just how late the hour truly is.

Rubio has been excellent as an agent. However, he's clearly not compent to lead.
This is also why NeoCons and other Less Liberals want him to block JD Vance.
Keep him on the team. Use his strengths where helpful. He can never lead.
No Representation Without Taxation
The American Revolution was fought over a simple principle: No Taxation Without Representation.
It’s time for the reciprocal principle: No Representation Without Taxation.
On welfare? No vote. Net negative taxpayer? No vote. Able-bodied and refusing to work? No vote.
The people who fund the Republic should not be politically subordinate to those who live off it. You shouldn’t get to vote yourself a paycheck from someone else’s wallet.
