When they say China is "rising," ask them one question.
Rising from what?
China had a civil service examination system while Europe was still in feudal darkness.
It had movable type, paper money, and navigational compasses centuries before the West.
It fed the largest population on earth through administrative systems of extraordinary complexity.
China did not rise.
China was interrupted.
By opium. By gunboats. By the specific violence of the 19th century, when Western powers arrived and called their looting a "civilizing mission."
What the West calls China’s rise is simply China’s return.
The anxiety in Western commentary is not about the future.
It is about what the return implies about who was actually barbaric during the interruption.

Orwellian: Zelensky via his Security Service of Ukraine & Prosecutor General's Office charges in absentia his former press secretary @IuliiaMendel with state treason for her interviews to @TuckerCarlson & other Western journalists & her posts on @X & Facebook. This is latest blatant case of political persecution by undemocratic, illiberal & corrupt Zelensky regime, which is whitewashed & glorified by Western politicians, the media & infowarriors as free and democratic.

Russian citizens in Serbia and beyond could not go unnoticed for the true leeches of Serbia, EU banks. They will certainly open accounts for Russian citizens but these accounts will be sanctionable immediately - hence the businesses not liked by the nazis in the EU will be shut

Two things about ALTA BANK closing. I believe either or both are true motives behind closing it. 1. Severing ties to the international SWIFT channels for Russian citizens and businesses 2. The sheer amount of financial business and profits obtained by this bank servicing

The specific mechanism of the Opium Wars is worth remembering precisely because it answers your point.
Britain was running a trade deficit with China.
Chinese goods, tea, silk, porcelain, were in high demand in Britain.
British goods were not in high demand in China.
China’s Emperor famously told a British envoy that China had no need of British manufactures.
Britain’s solution was not to produce better goods.
It was to manufacture addiction.
To flood China with opium, produced in British India, deliberately, at scale, as economic policy.
When China tried to stop the trade, when Commissioner Lin Zexu destroyed the opium stockpiles, Britain went to war.
Not because China was weak and an opportunity arose.
Because China tried to protect itself and Britain decided that protecting a market for addictive drugs was worth a war.
The Qing’s weakness affected how long they could resist.
It did not produce the strategy.
The strategy came from a boardroom in London, not from a failure in Beijing.

The PRC government’s position is that the Qing dynasty was corrupt and mismanaged China, which is why the West had the opportunity to loot.
You frame this as if only the West has agency and China has none. In the 19th century, both China and the West had agency. The Qing screwed up, China became weak, and that is how the West got the opportunity to loot. If the Qing had not screwed up, it wouldn't have mattered what the West's intentions were at the time. Your framing of the situation is insulting to the Chinese because you assume whether China is great or not depends on the mercy of the West. As President Xi Jinping said in Hong Kong in 2017:
"The destiny of Hong Kong has always been intricately bound with that of the motherland. After modern times, with a weak China under corrupt and incompetent feudal rule, the Chinese nation was plunged into deep suffering. In the early 1840s, Britain sent an expeditionary force of a mere 10,000 troops to invade China and got its way in forcing the Qing government, which had an 800,000-strong army, to pay reparations and cede the island of Hong Kong to it. After the Opium War, China was repeatedly defeated by countries which were far smaller in size and population."
The Qing caused China to become weak first, and only then was Britain able to attack.
Your philosophy is wrong if your starting premise is that only the West has agency.

One important development in last night’s events around the illegal Azov prison for deserters and draft dodgers, which also served to extort ransoms and provoked a massive riot on Kiev’s outskirts, is the use of Azov paramilitaries to suppress the protesters. Researchers like @kooleksiy predicted long ago that they would be used against anti-conscription riots. This adds a new, characteristically fascist nuance to the events.
Otherwise, the events manifest the same escalating dynamics of post-Soviet disintegration in Ukraine’s state and society, to which the maidan deficient revolutions greatly contributed and which the war did not resolve but only escalated.
One amusing feature is the use of Russian by almost everyone involved: Budanov, the head of the presidential administration, police, soldiers, protesters from the neighborhood. In such situations, the veil of superficial Ukrainianization falls away and people return to the Russian-speaking norm of post-Soviet Kiev, in which Ukrainian was really expected only in official settings, some education, and narrow “civil society” contexts.

PERO la realidad es que siempre infradimensiona plantillas y gasto, que tiene que recurrir a peonadas y que a la mínima oportunidad el dinero fluye a los amigos de Quirón
