Gathered a few of the most frequently asked questions and put together some answers. 1/8 What is FREEDZ? FREEDZ is an interactive PFP NFT collection of 8,888 pieces exploring the dilemmas between freedom, control, and machines. A collection built around a question we may be asking too late: Are we still in control? 2/8 What inspired FREEDZ? For thousands of years, humanity has built culture through words. We wrote them on cave walls, in books, and across the internet. Those same words became the fuel that helped machines evolve. Now, those machines may be turning into a threat to the very people who created them. There’s a tragicomedy in that. 3/8 Why do I need to submit a word? A single word can carry a thought, a memory, or a feeling only one person understands. Every accepted word becomes a permanent human mark within FREEDZ. Thousands of words, thousands of individual voices, creating something no single person could create alone. We gave machines the words that helped build the system. Now, those same words become part of a collective act of resistance. Can the words that built the system also question it? 4/8 How are community submitted words used in the artwork? If your whitelist application is accepted, your submitted word will become part of the FREEDZ collection permanently. Every NFT contains around 250–300 words and 100–1,500 letters. No outlines. No shadows. No sketches. Just typography art. 8,888 pieces, built entirely from the community’s words. Your word might become one of the 8888 unique words shaping the collection. 5/8 How does the burn mechanism work? Exactly 4% of FREEDZ secondary sales volume goes into a separate community royalty wallet, where it keeps accumulating. Through our website, a holder can burn their FREEDZ NFT to claim the accumulated amount. The wallet balance then returns to zero, and the cycle begins again as secondary sales generate more royalties. One NFT burned. One less in supply. Royalties ready to accumulate again. 6/8 Does burning an NFT guarantee a profit? No. Burning doesn’t guarantee a profit. You receive the amount accumulated in the community wallet at the time of a successful burn. The entire available balance goes to the wallet executing the burn, rather than being divided among multiple holders. The actual value depends on how much royalty has accumulated and the market value of ETH. 7/8 What happens if two people try to burn at the same time? We designed a 'minimum claim mechanism' to help prevent holders from being disadvantaged by simultaneous burn attempts. For example, if the community wallet holds 0.1 ETH, a holder can set 0.1 ETH as their minimum claim and submit a burn transaction. If another holder submits the same minimum while the first transaction claims the 0.1 ETH, the second transaction won’t succeed because the required balance is no longer available. Their NFT won’t be burned.
