If you grew up in the Great Lakes region, you know that the acronym for the lakes was HOMES: Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior.
But if you swap in Lake America for Lake Ontario, does the acronym now become...SHAME?
NEW: DHS agents in Minn conducted huge spying campaign on left-wing groups and people at the height of ICE protests earlier this year. Undercover agents. Infiltration of group chats. Subpoenas for labor union financial records nytimes.com/2026/08/13/us/po…
NEW: John Brennan sues to force the Trump admin to preserve records about the twin investigations he's facing, saying he needs the materials for a vindictive prosecution motion if he's charged.

Just in: Eight protesters accused of having Antifa ties were sentenced today to between 30 and 100 YEARS in prison after convictions in the armed protest at a Texas ICE facility last summer.
That dwarfed even the longest sentence given to a J6 rioter.

Asking for a friend:
Is this post acknowledging that DOJ intends to make Lawfare/weaponization settlements outside of the now-defunct fund?
The DOJ has already twice filed in court that the fund isn't going forward, coupled with Acting AG Blanche's testimony before Congress that the fund isn't moving forward. In essence, the judge's demand for declarations was an attempt to require her to personally sign-off on any and all future settlements, separate from this non-existent Fund, that the department may make. Judges do not get to insert themselves into the department's routine settlement authority.

👀An ICE protester says that agents shackled him to a hospital bed in Minnesota for four days without even charging him w/a crime.
After the NYT spent days asking questions, DOJ dismissed the case and is going to investigate misconduct.

The release also uses the term "antifa" to describe multiple other criminal cases where there were no allegations that the defendants had anything to do w/antifa.
Remarkable legal declaration by a fired J6 prosecutor defending the cases brought against the rioters and decrying that POTUS' new compensation fund could end up making payments to the violent defendants he prosecuted.

You'll never guess what this same magistrate judge did on March 7, 2022...
He apologized to Lucas Denney, a Jan. 6 defendant who was delayed being brought to court for a detention hearing--just like he apologized to the WHCD defendant.
These leftist judges are destroying the judiciary. Their partisan bias and venomous hatred are an absolute affront to the rule of law.
Cole Allen was armed with enough firepower to slaughter every Trump official he could reach — fully accepting he might also murder law enforcement and reporters in the process, as detailed in his manifesto.
The comparison to J6ers is absurd whataboutism. Pathetic that this judge is on the bench
This *very same magistrate judge* publicly apologized four years ago to Jan. 6 defendant Lucas Denney after there was a delay in bringing him to court for a detention hearing.

NEW:
DOJ's Civil Rights Division has taken over the investigation into Jan. 6 star witness Cassidy Hutchinson. The move was a highly unusual one by Justice Department leadership, directing a criminal case that appears to involve accusations of lying to Congress to a specialized unit that normally focuses on systemic civil rights abuses like police misconduct and racial discrimination.
