Imagine my face watching the video showcasing the new features in the latest #Cinema4D release after spending days building this setup to generate bubbles inside liquids. Glad to know it’s now a built-in feature lol

Not footage or Al. Every bubble here is simulated, and getting the carbonation to feel real was the hardest part of the shot. The bubbles took a long stretch of R&D: how they cling under the foam, how they catch light up close, how a dense layer reads through glass without going muddy. At one point a whole band under the surface rendered dark because light was running out of bounces between overlapping bubbles. A lot of the work ended up being how the bubbles are rendered, not just how they're simulated. Simulated in Houdini, rendered in Redshift. Open to liquid and beverage FX projects. DMs are open.

Here’s another experiment with more extreme forces in #Cinema4D Particle system. I couldn’t use the same field force to move both the liquid and the RBDs so I had to add a follow spline tag to the olives but I’m not 100% satisfied with how they collide with the glass.

Lately I’ve been experimenting quite a bit with both Cinema 4D’s simulation system and Redshift’s toon shader. I’ll be posting some of the results over the next few days.

Ai has contributed to RAM prices increasing by 300%, women and children getting ai generated sexual images made of them, data centers polluting the air close to neighborhoods, assisting people in suicides, using a lot of energy causing people’s electricity bills to go higher, ai models training on copyrighted data, books being scanned and destroyed by big companies, using ai to scam people with deepfakes and ai generated voices, mass layoffs from people being replaced by ai. I can keep going but these are all the things Ai has contributed to.
Replying to @TheMG3D
There is no proof or evidence of that, you son of a bitch; and by the way, AI has already contributed more to society than the entire anti-AI cult.

Scraping websites and having AI summarize them, so that no one visits the websites, is theft. Training AI on videos, so that it can make new videos that compete with them, is theft. We are witnessing the largest theft of creative work in history.

The kids are alright!! Former CEO of Google Eric Schmidt gets booed every time he mentions artificial intelligence during his commencement speech at the University of Arizona. This generation just may save humanity after all.

so you’re saying people should blow up data centers right now if they want to be able to eat and pay for rent in the near future?

AI companies’ argument that they shouldn’t have to reveal the training data they use because it is a ‘trade secret’ is absurd. They are using other people’s work - other people’s intellectual property. People’s right to know when their property is being exploited commercially should *clearly* trump AI companies’ right to keep it secret. If AI companies had to reveal their training data, there would be 1000x more AI copyright lawsuits. That tells you all you need to know. New law is needed to make AI companies reveal the copyrighted work they use to build their models. Governments should enact this law asap. Without it, rights holders are at a huge disadvantage - their work is being exploited at scale behind closed doors, and defending their rights comes down to guesswork. Require AI companies to reveal their training data, and you will end much of the unfair exploitation of people’s life’s work overnight.

Andrew Yang is right. Taxing AI companies will be a cornerstone of a post-labor economy. But we should go further. AI was trained on our data, our writing, our code, our images. Society created the raw material. So society should own a piece of it. Not just taxes. Shared ownership and AI dividends. If AI becomes the most productive technology in history, the wealth it creates should flow back to the people who helped create it.

Working with genAI is like playing a video game that’s 95% loading time and 5% gameplay. I really don’t understand how anyone can enjoy this kind of workflow.

Because nobody wants to pay for it anymore. Michelangelo was paid today's equivalent of roughly $650,000 – $750,000 USD for the Sistine Chapel ceiling, which took over 4 years to complete. Leonardo da Vinci was paid today's equivalent of $110,000–$120,000 USD per year and given housing and full funding by the Duke to paint The Last Supper. To bring back the beauty and intricacies of art, our society needs to see the value in it and be ready to pay for it. Art is not dead.
Today's humans have won in technology but lost in art.
