Codex threads just randomly become empty after a while. Is this normal??

IMHO, all three major harnesses (Codex, Claude and Cursor) need a Snow Leopard release. Two months dedicated to making the current features working spotless. No slow behaviors, no disappearing messages, no random isolation between threads/projects, clear observability.

Same in Portugal. Except that it’s 11:22 of the same day… two years later.
At 11:10, I sent an email to a local government entity. At 11:22, I received a response which addressed all questions. This is something I like about Switzerland 🇨🇭

So apparently it exists now: rstation.ai but they are not yet orchestrated as in Sakana's Agentic Scientist (pub.sakana.ai/agentic-scient…). Interesting times.
Remember SETI or Fold@Home? We need OpenSource@Home, where we use the tokens that would expire in everyone's subscriptions to contribute to the public good.

New post on what I learned writing a proxy MCP that allows you to write multi-call policies to block data exfiltration and other harmful sequences of (individually harmless) calls. wiki.alcidesfonseca.com/blog…

Why should we hire you when Claude Code is better at writing requirements and architecting solutions?
You're in a tech interview. The interviewer asks: "Why should we hire you when Claude Code can already write code?" What's your answer?

And if you’re in Java world, checkout LiquidJava.
My favorite talk from Scala Days 2026 was about baking refinement types right into the compiler. Unlike libraries like Iron or Refined, it adds a built-in solver that verifies logic and math across multiple variables at compile time with zero runtime cost. Moving from simple checks to full verification is how Scala's type system should evolve to constrain LLMs - AI code won't compile unless the math holds up.

Everybody saying "this is just a source of revenue for Anthropic!!!" isn't thinking about the business lost from their last-gen models being near-free

Dumbass comment. Linus built it in his garage. Anthropic converted a metro into a Shinkansen mid-trip.
Anthropic, with the help of Claude, spent five months building a replacement for Git, while Linus Torvalds built Git single-handedly in just 10 days.

Dumb question: OpenAI in Azure doesn't let you use structured_output with parallel jobs. Any idea why?

Hire me instead. None of those Google bad habits!
Any startup that hires enough ex-Googlers ends up with an ad hoc, informally-specified, bug-ridden, slow implementation of half of Google infra
