‘copy’ is the single most valuable word in business communication.
need you to do xyz > “copy” > i’m on it
customer paid the invoice > “copy” > noted & tracked
plans changed > “copy” > adjusting
one word. zero friction. maximum trust.
the difference between successful wealthy people and first time business people:
first time business:
- i don’t want to share my idea until it’s done
- we can work together, sign contract and nda
- spend 10 months building product > 0 months distributing or acquiring clients
successful wealthy people:
- here’s my full business idea
- here’s how I will execute
- here’s how it will make money
- mvp > live in 4-8 weeks
- acquiring customers and distributing
what is a current contrarian asset that is underperforming, but in the future you expect it to be consensus?
i thought I worked hard until I started building a business with someone who exited his first company for $70M and now runs a $450M VC fund.
trust me on two things:
1) you aren't working hard enough
2) the gap between success and you is simply relentless execution and iteration
"People who are genuinely great at something don't compete. They don't care about being compared to others because they're so deep in their own lane that comparison would be a waste of time. They just do their thing." - Steve Jobs
every business / sole proprietor in the world will pay for leads if it means they generate more profit.
every. single. one.
having no opinion on the wars / geo-political event’s happening right now is pure incompetence dressed as naivety / neutrality.
not speaking publicly? understandable, the R:R tradeoff is borderline negative EV (can be debated)
but telling me you don't care? don’t have a view? haven’t thought about it?
you’re living through the most consequential geopolitical moment of our lifetime. if you don't have a stance, you're simply not a serious person.
