Audio Talk's "Okay Pinball" challenges players to win 3 pinball games at the same time using #DolbyAtmos audio cues to know when to switch tables. It's tough! But super cool.
Art exists to cultivate a more compassionate society. Denying someone the opportunity to participate in that on the basis of their *citizenship* alone is cynical and regressive.
Canceling performances by a young *pro-Ukrainian* Russian pianist does nothing for Ukrainian citizens in Kyiv, nothing to blunt Russia’s military capacity, and nothing to shift Putin’s calculus.
This is how a social cascade tips into insanity.

I learned bits and pieces about this world as I was finishing grad school and considering moving to LA for an opportunity like this about 10 years ago. Wow, wow am I glad I didn't.

Deborah Lurie's call for transparency is *spot on*. Big projects need people with various strengths; composing, arranging, midi production, score prep etc are all different specializations, and it's way past time for that honest conversation about compensation and recognition.
