🎉 Local Stablecoins, Tokenization and a Global Naira
I lay down my vision for what will be possible as local stablecoins and tokenization mature. I’m sure in 2 years, it will be obvious I over-promised; in 10 years, it will be a shame I under-promised.

Ideas, taste, agency. Only things that will matter.
Intelligence is gone. And arguably structured hardwork and concentration
One reason I deeply enjoy working on Accrue is that it sits at the intersection of my interests: service to humanity, delightful products, tasteful art/design, and mastering my craft.
AI (especially Opus 5.5) has been a boon in that regard. I spent yesterday engrossed in a redesign, iterating at the speed of thought, surfacing 15 hours later with progress I couldn’t have imagined a few years ago.
I often muse about what a wonderful time it is to be an idea guy, but really, what a wonderful time it is!
The future is here

Great piece by @alephile on the need for local currency-pegged stables in emerging markets to improve onchain fx, on/off ramping liquidity, and serve as the bedrock for EM tokenized RWAs. Beyond dollar value, the potential economic impact for this is huge, as local currency-pegged stables open up EMs to the global financial system and enable global investment in EM economies.
@Daya_HQ is launching $NGNT - a naira-pegged stablecoin - to bring these opportunities to Nigeria and the broader African market.
