Craig and Lindsay Foreman are 2 British citizens recently arrested in Iran.
The couple, in their early 50s, who were on a trip across the world on motorbikes, were arrested in January but the news emerged on Thursday when state-run Iranian media reported they were being held on unspecified security charges.

Having campaigned to free hostages and the unjustly detained around the world for 9 years now especially those held in #Iran, I hope the British government does everything it can to free Craig and Lindsay Foreman.

There will rightly be a lot of news coverage today in the UK on British citizens, Craig & Lindsay Foreman held captive in #Iran since last month.
I hope this coverage also mentions British citizen and labour rights activist, Mehran Raoof held hostage in Iran since 16 Oct 2020.

Victoria Derbyshire, "Look at what you're doing to young people.. You're going to force them to do National Service.. You've tripled their tuition fees.. You froze the threshold at which they have to start paying back their student loan.. You've extended the student loan repayment terms from 30 to 40 years.. Meaning many graduates will be paying off their debts in their 60s.. You've invested only a third of what was recommended by the catch up tsar to help kids catch up after the pandemic.. Rents rose nearly 9% in the last year.. And houses at their most expensive since 1876.. Have the Tories got a problem with young people?"

The infected blood scandal and its scale and cover up is horrific.
Yday on @lbc I spoke to Richard Warwick who was sent to Treloars College at the age of 10 diagnosed at a haemophiliac
The children were injected with products which were known to be infected as an experiment. Of the 122 pupils, 80 are known to have died.
The UK in 2024 is around 25 years later to deal with it than other countries
Canada - inquiry reported in 1997
Ireland- Inquiry reported in 1997

politicians were taken to court. Prime Minister Laurent Fabius, former Social Affairs Minister Georgina Dufoix and former Health Minister Edmond Herve were charged with "manslaughter".
Fabius and Dufoix were found not guilty.
Hervé was found guilty but received no sentence.
Dr M. Garretta, the director of National Blood Center was sentenced to a four year prison.
Who will be brought to justice here?

How many times do NHS doctors need to speak out about the ways in which we’re quietly being replaced by non-doctors, with neither the knowledge nor consent of the UK public?
It’s a patient safety scandal - happening now, driven by @DHSCgovuk, aided & abetted by @gmcuk.

“We should not play with patients’ lives.”
Devastating comments on @DHSCgovuk, @NHSEngland & @gmcuk’s willingness to let non-doctors - physician associates - perform potentially life-threatening surgeries.
This is a national scandal.
A patient safety debacle.
Just appalling.
A laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a major operation with significant major potential complications, including mortality. Even as consultants, there is a great deal of scrutiny on the number of cases and the complication rate.
It is also an excellent training procedure for career surgical trainees who have been through 5 years at medical school and then at least 3 to 4 years before they are allowed to perform these cases.
They have also been through structured surgical training as well as completing basic surgical skills training and laparoscopic skills training and completed Part 1 and Part 2 MRCS.
These operations are NOT for the novice and should NOT be performed by anyone other than a trained surgeon or a surgeon in training with appropriate supervision AND only by qualified medical doctors.
We should not play with patients' lives.
This is unsafe and dangerous and needs to be stopped immediately.
The @RCSnews should have raised concerns during the peer review of this case series for publication.
I am astounded that the local ethical committee felt that approval was not necessary.
@WalsallHcareNHS need to stop this practice with immediate effect.
