Switzerland in the world top 3 of remittance-sending countries (ahead of Germany).
India receives over $100 billion annually in money sent home by migrants, about 3.3% of its GDP. The Philippines gets nearly 10% this way. The Netherlands (17 million people) ranks in the top 10 for sending countries. Source: publications.iom.int/books/w…

Doesn't count, but the current prime minister of Portugal is called Luis Montenegro. Any other examples of country leaders whose last name is another country?
Game time: national politicians with the names of their countries in their names. I nominate Pierre Mendès France.

Actually, "English" is not an ethnic category in the US census. It takes about 10 seconds to look it up. Actually in the official definition "white" designates "origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa" census.gov/topics/population…
Wow. You actually run something called "the Centre for English Identity" and you are asking us this. English as I'm sure you know is an ethnic category on the U.S. census. It refers to actual or subjective ancestral origins. Do you want me to revise your course reading list?

it's about an Indian man that tried to naturalize as a US citizen at a time when US citizenship was reserved for white or black people. As a Brahmin Indian, he tried to argue in court that he was white on account of the origins of the Aryan people in India
