You may have noticed a distinct lack of gamedev updates from me. For the sake of being transparent, progress has been minimal & disappointing for the past months.
Life got incredibly messy, plans had to be shifted around and I feel deflated in ways I never thought I'd be. Sorry
The only thing coming soon is even more beta cucks, fools with inflated ego thinking they're painting the next Mona Lisa when the end result is mountains of Play-Doh. Tis a truly pitiful sight to behold...
Introducing Unity Spark — a new way to create a game, iterate on it with others, publish it, and play it - all without writing a line of code.
You'll build with artist-created assets from the Unity Asset Store, and then you can take your game to the next level by refining it in a new web-based editor.
Prompt it. Perfect it. Publish it. Inspired games, with artist-created assets, built on Unity.
Closed beta coming soon.
Honest question, how does it replace the original in any capacity? 3D exists and people are still raving about the N64 ver to this day. Not to mention SoH.
This solidifies Nintendo's main concern of business infringement, if it's even a question. As long as you redistribute something they're selling free or not, whether via fan remakes or software piracy, you'll be a potential target. Look at their takedown history and you'll see.
Nintendo has taken down more than 400 Nintendo Switch emulator repositories on GitHub in a single day.
The company sent seven DMCA notices, targeting projects such as Suyu, Skyline, Yuzu forks and other Switch emulators. Many of the repositories have now been removed.
Nintendo says these emulators bypass the Switch’s security and can be used to run unauthorized copies of its games.

Use the environment to your advantage in this battle, but be careful, Kibble Blade has the same idea!
Fight this boss and more in Waddle Knight Deluxe, the Kirby fangame with gameplay inspired by Hollow Knight and Cuphead.

Imagine being a developer and working on a game for years only for a random 30 second clip to be posted online and suddenly everyone who looks at it thinks they can pinpoint exactly how your game plays and how little you know what you're doing and how much of an idiot you are
I find the discourse that came from this post very thought-provoking, because if it was merely a KH hack/fangame, people would be praising the hell out of it, same as my own project. The difference is awfully slim... (1/?)
I remember being a lot more creative at the end of my teenage years & early twenties. Had many plans for original games that eventually dwindled alongside my young ambitions. So nowadays I'm content sticking to fangames. That's my happy place now. (5/?)
