This is the best board game review I’ve ever seen.
Good games make you feel something. Better games make those feelings complex, nuanced. But the best games make you think, long after. Tom’s immaculate presentation mirrors the feeling, the nuance, & the thought of JC. Watch it!
Like all these moral panics about “protecting the children,” this is just another cosplay for a right wing grift to sell its propaganda into public schools.
As a former staffer of multiple universities, and student of a “second-string” college, every single word of this. No matter how hard SCOTUS goes at AA, it will never solve the supply and demand issue of the Ivies - esp. when they have zero reason to increase supply.
From a pure PR/comms perspective, I think Rodney presents a master class in how to respond to a social media attack, particularly one from a big account. Lays out the facts, not defensive, doesn't mince words, & stands up for himself and his values. 🍻
I spent a decade listening to my conservative friends fret about people using “the violence of government” against them as a justification for owning weapons. On this issue, dead silence - not even an argument to arm librarians? What about “freedom?!?”
1. Two members of @Moms4Liberty have reported several Florida librarians to law enforcement, claiming the librarians committed felonies by distributing pornography to minors.
Popular Information obtained the video from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.

And I've had it with mediocre talking heads using hatred and fear for profit. I've had it with those same talking heads and their corporate masters bending over backwards to defend terrorism conducted by angry white boys with assault rifles on their own countrymen. @FoxNews, DIAF
Jesse Watters: “I want to say something about Arab Americans and about the Muslim world. …we’ve had it with them.”

An excellent set of pointers for those of you composing 5e or d20/OGL adventures in general.
I've read a lot of terrific #dnd material recently from publishers large and small. After noticing a lot of common glitches, I compiled a list of tips to consider when editing D&D content. (If you ever apply to WotC and are asked to take the editorial test, pay attention!) A🧵

I see some folks on this hellsite claiming whatever happens to Gazans in the coming days is on them for electing Hamas.
1) There hasn't been an election in Gaza for 17 years.
2) It's literally the same unhinged argument Bin Laden made to justify killing American civilians.

Can’t believe the creators of the monster have lost control of the monster, is there any precedent for this in books or film

“Creativity privilege” God these people will do anything to make themselves victims and validate actual theft. Creativity is a SKILL that you can learn to improve. It’s not innate. It’s not “god given.” It’s not something you are born with. It’s a SKILL.
Creation can be a bone-deep compulsion that defies “logic,” and some folks will never understand.
Do it anyway.

An excellent thought piece on his artificial intelligence fails to match the value of genuine intelligence when making games.
There are a lot of good ethical and aesthetic reasons to avoid AI Art. But, I haven't seen as many folks talk about the implications for our creative practices. When I read @Charlie_L_Hall's excellent interview, I was stuck most by how creatively bankrupt the whole endeavor was.
I know a lot of you are debating leaving Twitter after today’s news; for me, the camel’s back broke yesterday when EM posted this:
Look around you, at the alarms being raised by vulnerable groups, tech experts, historians. Twitter died a long time ago, and it’s decomposing before our eyes. We can’t bring it back, there’s nothing left to fight for - only fighting. Let’s grieve and move on.
I’m off to Essen and won’t be making a move until I’m back, but I expect to be on 🟦⛅️ (alexflagg.bsky.social) to replace this, and likely Threads and Insta for Crafty Games stuff since we do well on Facebook.
I hope you’ll look me up. I’ve enjoyed my time with all of you ☮️
