.@nytimes Cut @Nate_Cohn's salary by 1% every hour until he turns the needle back on for the Mississippi and Alaska Senate races

And btw, this is simply a fact, not an ideological agenda or anything. El Sayed posted the least impressive performance given the partisan makeup of each state + the outcome.
"AES underperformed because of Islamophobia, and there was nothing he could've done to counteract it"
"Democrats were wise to nominate him even if the environment hadn't been so extraordinarily blue"
If you fully agree with one of these statements, you can't agree with the other.
Gonna log off for a few, I won't let the moronic cope from American leftists ruin my libbed the fuck out mood.

Biggest miss for Dems tonight was Montana. We all saw it coming: A legit pickup opportunity in a 1-on-1 but impossible for Bodnar to win with Bankhead also on the ballot
somewhere out there there's gotta be a guy who admits that El-Sayed underperformed but blames it on him campaigning with neoliberal establishment figures like Barack Obama and Kamala Harris
Speaking of, this was a great night for Chuck Schumer and should complicate AOC's plans of challenging him in 2028, right?
Nominating Janet Mills and Mallory McMorrow would've freed up a lot of funds for Florida and Mississippi, but Bernie Sanders and his disciples had other priorities.

El-Sayed underperforming by 4 points in Michigan after establishment Democrats dropped tens of millions on his behalf (that could have been better spent in Florida or Mississippi) is a good reminder that nominating weak candidates usually brings negative consequences.
The worst thing Democrats can do now or if they win in 2028 is overestimate their mandate. Biden did that and it brought Trump back to office. This was a repudiation of Trump, inflation, and the Iran war, not an endorsement to pack the Supreme Court or whatever.
They only win by winning primaries in blue districts that would vote for Mao if he ram as a Democrat over Mitt Romney. If they run in a purple area, or against a fellow Democrat in a non-partisan general, they lose.
