ALT The Indian Computing Olympiad, which organizes the Indian part of the informatics olympiad and selects India’s team for the International Olympiad in Informatics, is setting up a Technical Committee comprised of volunteers who can help in the various technical aspects of the process. The main and immediate responsibility is helping in the technical setup of the ~35 test centres for ZCO (Zonal Computing Olympiad) and INOI (Indian National Olympiad in Informatics) which involves coordinating remotely with the system admins of the institutions which host the contests. This requires sufficient experience with installing Ubuntu and the various issues which could crop up during that. We use a custom bootable Ubuntu image which is installed on the machines in the centres. The bulk of this work will be in the 1-2 months before ZCO and INOI - Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb.
