Finally finished reading Death by Astonishment by @alieninsect the final trip report by Anton Bilton was absolutely wild 🤯🤘
Also great to see AGI Muse by my dear friend @NuwanShilpa an artwork I collected in July last year 🫂
Man I'm so curious where DMTx research is going 🫠

What lies beyond the narrow slice of experience we call consensus reality?
@DonaldDHoffman & Andrew Gallimore (@alieninsect) explore what altered states may reveal about the nature of existence.

Turns out Traces of the Other, the paper Andrew Gallimore (@alieninsect), @donalddhoffman and I wrote about how to experimentally explore the question about what kind of reality DMT entities might have from a Conscious Realism perspective, is very upsetting to some people.
Sabine Hossenfelder @skdh takes on our DMT and conscious agent theory paper (with @donalddhoffman and @Niffe)...
Naturally, she calls the whole thing bullsh*t, which means we're at least doing *something* right... 👽

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Trace's first event with @donalddhoffman and @alieninsect a few weeks ago. It was a fascinating discussion. We look forward to continuing the conversation on consciousness and the frontiers of science.

It was a pleasure to talk with Neil deGrasse Tyson and co-hosts Chuck Nice and Gary O’Reilly to explore what neuroscience, evolutionary game theory, virtual reality, psychedelics, observers, and consciousness suggest about the nature of reality itself.

This preprint is one of the first manifestations of the Trace Institute.
We propose a method for exploring the question about the reality of DMT-entities utilizing an experimental program resting on the Conscious Agent Theory.
Check it out!
“We propose that DMT induces a profound perturbation of our perceptual interface, expanding the accessible region of experience space and allowing consciousness to reach regions with entirely different dynamical regimes”

Yesterday, in Southern California, we launched the Trace Institute, a new research effort formed around the pioneering work of Professor @donalddhoffman .
Scientists, mathematicians, AI engineers, and entrepreneurs are coming together to build a rigorous science of the observer, with implications for physics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and new paths of discovery.

“A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct.”

Whether we have got the balances right or not the Trace Institute is now official, and I am so excited!
We will never know the full truth of reality, but we aim to get closer than anyone has before.
