I know a lot of people that would say the latter, Machiavelli’s quote is. Some of the most profitable traders here are people that don’t mind using any unfair tool/advantage, moral or not, to get ahead.
But could that be why we have deteriorated so much, too many people that don’t care whether what they’re doing is good for the overall state of the environment as long as they’re making money? It’s sad, for a better space you want a majority of the former, that also call out corruption but instead we have people praising it.
Though at the end of the day it is a dog eat dog world and a zero sum game, so does it really matter how you make your money. Are morals just shackles here
