Huge news for folks like me who spend way too much time on Google Flights!
At long last, Southwest is now part of Google Flights wapo.st/3URc4oI
Is jumping into the water with a python the wildest thing I've done for work? Probably — but these scientists did it, so naturally I followed them!

Huge thanks to @garethjfraser, whose work will be featured and who provided awesome photos and video clips from the field to accompany the cool science. Here’s to scientists who get the value of public outreach! 🙌
In the Everglades today with invasive pythons and the folks working to better understand and manage them. This one is nearly 12 feet long and sporting a new tracking device to monitor its movements and behavior. Seconds after leaving the levee, it’s invisible.
Just dropped: a new issue of @UFexplore!
(I promise it’s not all spiders, but the spider research is cool. The spiders are fuzzy and wear eyeliner!)

Anita Marshall saw how students with disabilities faced significant barriers in traditional field programs.
Through @NSF investments, she developed @GeospaceUF — an accessible, inclusive planetary geology field course.
In subtle and not-so-subtle ways, students with disabilities (20% of undergrads) are told they don't belong in Earth science. @BakingSodaVolc is changing that with a fully accessible field camp that can serve as a national model.
