Social Media Narrative Assignment 1: World Model

Ahndi wakes up. She rolls over and extends her right hand toward the bed side table.

Ahndi touches the home button of her iPhone and blinks hard as the screen comes into focus. It’s 7:37 AM.

Sighing and stretching simultaneously, Ahndi forces herself from the warmth of the blankets.

She washes, dresses, drinks a glass of water and makes her way to work.

Ahndi always departs early. This leaves her time to purchase overpriced coffee that adds little value to her life.

Today she orders a breakfast sandwich that she later scolds herself for eating.

Ahndi arrives at work thirty minutes before everyone else.

Ahndi begins her day with a 15 minute guided meditation behind the closed door of her office.

She emerges from the meditation with feelings of welcome toward the day’s challenges.
