People often weren’t accepting of someone older being trans, so for me, having a more open profile of the whole trans community - young and old - is really important. For years now, I’ve done an open chat for a fostering agency, where I sit down and talk to new foster parents about my experience, to give them understanding on how to help trans children coming through the foster system. I never knew that I could play a sport until I found roller derby. It’s allowed me to do something that has given me fitness and a personal boost to my life.” Dusty #303, Rainy City Skater
