Salary dumping julius randle onto the nets was really a stealth sabotage move to ensure the nets have the worst winning percentage in league history

Some LaMelo Ball highlights from tonight:
- Wolves scored 58 points in his 16:44 of play, good for a 170.6 ORTG; Won 58-25, +33
- Ball scored or assisted on 34 of those 58
- All 8 of his assists were at the rim or 3s
- Wolves were on pace for 76.5 Paint PTS per 100 (best in NBA is ~62) and 23.5 FB PTS per 100 (best is ~20)
- Wolves were 13/16 (81.3%) at the rim with Melo on the floor, compared to 9/18 (50%) with him off
- Wolves took 55% of their total FGA at the rim while Melo was on the floor (highest rim rate in NBA is ~40%)

The Timberwolves shot 22-29 from the field and 9-11 from beyond the arc when LaMelo Ball was on the court tonight.
Jonathan Kuminga has an argument as the Wolves’ best defender through 3 games. He’s taken the toughest matchups, he’s made a bunch of big plays off-ball. He’s been a vice grip out there.
Oh and he’s making 3s off the catch, playmaking at a high level and seems to be enjoying the hell out of his role.

So a big concern coming into the the year was how the Wolves would hold up against physicality and they've responded by kicking the ever living shit out of 3 of probably the 5 most physical teams in the league lol

The Timberwolves bring sort of a “no one can stop us on offense or score against our defense” vibe to the game that opposing teams don’t really like

my basketball team is the most fun watch in the NBA and haven’t lost a game.
my football team is undefeated 6 games into the NFL season.
life is good
LaMelo comes back in the game and the pedal just stays on the floor. He completely changes this team. Unbelievable.
They have a better option to guard Luka, JDub and Castle/Harper now and that’s such a big variable with the Kuminga signing. When you have 3 guys that can legit lock down as wing defenders you’re gonna be in a good spot…and the Wolves have that.
The defense feels very, very real. And that — more than anything — should have the rest of the league taking notice.
