Over the past two decades, we’ve worked inside some of the world’s largest companies and seen first-hand what actually makes technology transformation succeed - or fail.
AI is no different.
Here's what we learned.
Sh*t‘s getting real
So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.
In unrelated news: Trump renames the Epstein Files to “League of Nobel Laureates”. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
We believe superintelligence will create significant new opportunities for all people and businesses. Meta already serves billions of people at scale and helps hundreds of millions of businesses reach customers. Today we are starting the next major pillar of our business, Meta Enterprise Platform, to help businesses use AI to grow and transform in new ways as well.
Speaking of timing with @Trevornoah today - here’s GoButler 2.0 @officiallyjoko
I led engineering at Google DeepMind.
Today, I'm proud to introduce Fo to give personal AI something no lab ever has... Humans.
Other personal AI's pretend AI can do everything. Fo employs humans to do tasks that AI cannot.
- 2x better at real-world task completion (beats other agents by 69%)
- 94% trust rate (4x less likely to leak private info vs Muse, Instinct)

Why we believe @LazyFoxLabs that AI-native ERP solves the wrong problem: it is the most expensive available way to avoid the problem you actually have because it rebuilds the part that already worked. lazy-fox.ai/blog/ai-native-e… #bits26
“Agents don’t by themselves decide to break out. We have laws to hold the humans behind it accountable.” @ericschmidt Or as Cory Doctorow said: “The first question should be “Why are you so shit at making secure sandboxes?” Not “How are you so awesome at making hacking tools?” #bits26
Some of the „use it well“ part is context related and systematic in nature lazy-fox.ai/platform/cfo-tok…
Replying to @MorningBrew
- definitely use it
- use it well
Too complex a set of instructions for various people around here it seems
This won’t be limited to just consumer internet. The SalesForces and SAPs of this world already have the same fight and are approaching their openness to agents along the same lines. With limitations to forcing customers into their UIs/workflows: lazy-fox.ai/blog/computer-us…
Just the right company to share all this data with…
the amount of deeply personal, & actually actionable ai training data fb is likely generating right now through muse is likely insane. even if peripheral.
stuff like what ppl see, want, ask, choose, buy, ignore, & act on. esp through the connectors. it’s basically onavo built in house.
& the compounding effects of that data flywheel are only the beginning. muse is basically fb 2.0 as a company which is why zuck needed to go all out.
Many more 2021 Schödinger unicorns to follow: Airtable down from $11B valuation. With a total $1.4B raised, that’s actual value destruction at $1.3B exit. Who are the hottest candidates to come next?
Google collapsed the value of media companies by ingesting their IP.
Today, all companies are at the same inflection point with AI.
That's why it's our mission at @LazyFoxLabs to enable companies to leverage AI's full potential, while maintaining ownership of what makes them unique: their institutional knowledge, how they learn from their work.
👉 It's a question of the right architecture: lazy-fox.ai/blog/nadella-rev…
Great talk by @MaorShlomo at #raisesummit @RaiseSummit on how AI enables one-person teams. This is exactly the second order effect I talked about, inverting the division of work created by railroads and electrification: xitter.cf/almarrone/status/20110…
…not sure if that’s really what you want to hear from your bank 🤷♂️ #neversettle #revolut
