messaging my wife a link containing proof of her husband cheating on her from an anonymous instagram account and then when she clicks on it texting her to let her know she failed the family phishing test and she has to retake my cybersecurity course

Six projects from the last few weeks that caught our attention: A wildfire analysis prototype that maps the fire’s spread over time and tracks hot spots, made with Opus 5.5.

Only software engineers will understand why this is actually funny.

But a couple of things still got flagged on the good contract, and it was my fault... I asked "can you stake without your rewards being settled first?" and it said 89% yes. And it's right. "Settled" sounds like "paid out", and the good contract checkpoints rewards on stake, it doesn't pay them. It answered the question I wrote, not the one I meant.

That's Jev in a nutshell: it's literal, and once you stop treating it like a chatbot and start writing questions like test assertions, it's very good.

Final verdict: I'm very excited to see what else comes out in the AI space, but this is the first thing in a while that felt like a different category rather than a faster version of the same thing.

So I rewrote the questions to be a little bit more specific. Each pointing at one mechanism. Below is the good contract:

Now we are getting somewhere! With this result alone I would be able to quickly assess which contract I would like to pay more attention to, all in under a second!

And the bad:

Then the same contract, deliberately busted. Divide-before-multiply, no scaling, transfers before state updates, anyone can start a reward period, tx.origin auth, 0.7 with no SafeMath. Fourteen distinct bugs.

Their docs say this outright:

... wait a minute, aren't the results shown barely better than a coin flip? What gives? I asked it the wrong kind of question. Jev isn't an LLM. It doesn't reason, doesn't generate text. It looks at the state, looks at your question, and returns a calibrated probability in <500ms. "Is the reward math wrong?" isn't a snap judgment. It's an audit. You'd have to check every arithmetic line and that can be time consuming.

Setup: I gave it a well-written Synthetix-style staking rewards contract. CEI ordering, reentrancy guards, SafeERC20, checked math, funded reward periods, the works. Here is Jev's review:
