Our latest work is now online as a preprint in #bioRxiv. I had the honor to work with @am0ck, Melissa Braun, @claudia_scholl and @StefanFrohling at @DKFZ and @NCT_HD. We used Oxford @nanopore sequencing to get a glimpse of the transcriptomes of tumor samples, which were 1/8

Fantastic #PrecisionMedicine effort by @mpmnedumudy and @Elkabetslab for patients with #headandneckcancer. Perfect example that we need to better understand the impact of targeted therapies on the tumor immune microenvironment.
@mpmnedumudy showed that the #MAPK pathway is hyperactive in #headandneckcancer (HNC) and is associate with poor prognosis (collaboration Hess @am0ck @DKFZ @HeidelbergU. Treatment of mice with trametinib, an MEK1/2 inhibitor, induced a delay in HNC initiation and progression.
