We’ve been humbled by the interest in Claude Duet, and are working hard to get people off the waitlist. In the meantime, a few thoughts based on DMs, emails, posts we’ve seen.
→ Who can use it: Pro and Max subscribers in the US, for now.
→ Where: You can use it on iOS, Android, and web once you get off the waitlist. Mac app is in the works.
→ Trust: We designed Claude Duet to be a partner you can trust. More on our safety, security, privacy approach in today’s blog post: claude.com/resources/article…
→ Use cases: We’re starting with work use cases, which is what a lot of people come to Claude for. Professionals, small business owners, founders, anyone juggling a lot. We’re opening the research preview to these segments first so we can co-build together. Over time, we'll support more use cases across work and life.
→ Context: Claude Duet already knows about everything you’ve been working on with Claude. Your chats, memory, projects, and more are available in Claude Duet the moment you open it.
→ Tasks: Tasks are at the center of the experience. Every task gets its own thread you can check in on and steer, so you can multi-task and hand off many things at once. Claude Duet also proactively suggests tasks it can take on, with your approval. We’re glad to see this primitive and dedicated tab resonating. More to come soon.
→ Proactive with judgment: Opus 5.5 is widely loved for complex real-world work and its natural communication style, and we’ve built around it for deep judgment. More work to be done here so it feels like a world-class teammate, coworker, chief of staff.
→ Channels: We went with one agent that works across your main chat and dedicated channels, so each area of work gets its own space. Small business owners and professionals are already using channels for customer support, marketing, bookkeeping, etc.
Starting next week, we’ll share more on how we built Claude Duet and how early testers are using it. We know usage limits and access outside the US are top of mind too, and are working on both. Please let us know what else we can improve - we're reading all your feedback.
I'm so excited about this launch. I've witnessed the genesis and evolution of the product and I'm very proud of our product and engineering teams on how they executed. /cc @ahuja_karan
Which one are you? And which one is your board?
I was talking to another founder yesterday about a venture investor. I said I like them a lot because I think they are a “shock absorber.”
As a founder or exec, you go through lots of highs and lows. Won customer. Lost deal. Closed round. Investors passed. Hired candidate. Teammate quit.
And your board is along for much of the journey. The question is how do they react?
I’ve found that the best board members, including the one I was giving backchannel on, don’t add to the drama. They instead soften it out.
Imagine you miss a quarter. The drama investor jumps in, feels insecure themselves and immediately asks 100 questions as if you weren’t already thinking of them. The “shock absorber” board member is like @ajay_bcv , my longtime board member from @BainCapVC at Gainsight. I’ll never forget when we massively missed an early quarter (I think we were supposed to do $600K of bookings and we did $300K). He said “look - whether you do $300K or $600K is irrelevant. Set yourselves up for doing $10M a quarter a few years from now.” That’s a shock absorber.
On the flip side, imagine you closed a huge deal. It’s one thing to be totally “rah rah.” But a great “shock absorber” board member also says “that’s amazing. Now the key is making them successful.”
As legendary Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz famously stated:
“You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and you're never as bad as they say when you lose.”
It’s good to have folks around the table to remind of you of that and keep the ride as smooth as possible (it will never be smooth though!)
Before I joined @AnthropicAI , people kept telling me "we use Claude differently here."
It sounded like someone saying they do CrossFit differently at their gym. I didn't buy it.
I was wrong. I gave a talk at @productschool ProductCon SF on what I found

Lines up. We spent too much time in formatting and fonts and swapping words to save space so the doc would be exactly 6 pages and not a word more. The thinking didn’t get any better. Just perfectly written docs. Which now get fed into LLMs to summarize the salient points.
It’s amazing how shitty the Amazon Alexa experience is after all these years. Despite having all the infra, smart engineers and researchers, and now all the models, Amazon somehow still can’t build a half decent experience.
Proud to be a small part of this company and what it stands for.
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.

Hey @bot, please claim [email protected] as my Grok Bot email address.
Just to clarify - model upgrades shouldn't mean rebuilding your agent's memory from scratch. I moved my personal agent stack onto a portable context layer for exactly this reason. It separates out context + memory from the intelligence.
Add to it a good 1P MCP and Google Docs becomes a compelling layer for human + agents.
Use AI to be more human. Not less.
Just pulled on the hearts of more than 1.4B people.
I’m excited to announce my partnership with OpenAI. We have some interesting things coming up, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
I’ve always been curious... One question usually leads to another, and ChatGPT has certainly encouraged that habit. But it has also proved useful when I’ve needed to get things done, like planning my last trip with the family.
That’s what I’m looking forward to with this partnership. Discovering what else I can do with ChatGPT, sharing what I find useful, and encouraging more people to give it a try with something they care about.
A question, an idea, something you’ve always wanted to explore. There are so many places to start.
Looking forward to exploring together.
