First thing I saw this morning, so heartbreaking

so a young Ghanaian boy was bullied in the Bronx and he was eventually shot and killed. literally was such a quiet kid and he came to America less than a year ago. His dad has been in America for the past 26 years. xenophobia is genuinely despicable. I’m sick to my stomach.

Javits was 15 and had come to the United States from Ghana for a brighter future and better education, living with his father in New York, but his life was tragically taken just one day after October 28 marked one year since his arrival. The fundraiser is already bringing people together to help his father and family with funeral, burial, and unexpected expenses, and I’m grateful to everyone who has supported them so far.
