I had the privilege of speaking to students in Osogbo about tech as a career and the future of technology at the @8BMFreight event Code • Create • Care, which brought together students from various schools.
We called it CODE • CREATE • CARE — and Osogbo showed up beautifully. We brought together students from Osogbo Grammar School, Ido-Osun Grammar School, Muslim Grammar School, and L.A. Adenle Grammar School… not just to sit and listen, but to dream, explore, and ask questions.

If you know of any tech events in San Francisco this year that can help with visa processing, please DM me. Looking for legitimate events/conferences with opportunities for international attendees. 🙏

You report a pothole to your city. The report goes into a database the city controls, the same city that has every reason to bury an inconvenient complaint. You can't audit it. You can't prove it existed. CivicLibro fixes that on @arkivnetwork. 🧵

Building a system that moves money around, you do have to ask yourself what happens if a user hits the transfer button twice or transfers a certain amount twice.

This article discusses the 3 layers that make an idempotent payment API hold up in production, which prevent the problem of double spending: idempotency keys, database unique constraints, and distributed locks. We need the three combined, not just one or two.

Building a scalable product for millions of users. We must have an element that allows us to scale, make our product available at every request. This allows our product to be efficient, and removes single point of failure. github.com/Amity808/load-bal…

Load Balancing is one of the key elements to achieve this. You can read more about an article I wrote on Load Balancing.

Every time you LP or swap, you’re leaking your strategy to the world. MEV bots and front-runners use your public parameters (slippage, thresholds, allocations) to extract value from your trades. In today’s DeFi, transparency is a double-edged sword. Privacy is very important.

What Confidential Rebalance Hook? Let take it down the story line.. 🧵 Institutional DeFi has a transparency problem. Every rebalancing trade reveals your strategy to the entire blockchain. Competitors copy your moves. MEV bots front-run your trades.

The data is clear, predictable execution, transparent strategies, and public intents are no longer minor inefficiencies, they’re structural weaknesses costing DeFi billions yearly.

We’re building the future of Web3 right here in Osogbo! Over the past year, Blocktrain Labs has trained and inspired hundreds through virtual and physical Web3 programs. 1️⃣ Our first physical training was for young people on November 7th, 2024 in Osogbo:

So while I was checking @selfxyz out during the proof of ship 8 @Celo. I had a conversation with one of their developers. However it not yet supported with Nigeria card, but they are looking for how to onboard Nigeria user into their system.

The main challenge seems to be identification cards with chips currently, I think we only passports that support chip. If you know of any other chip-enabled IDs, feel free to comment below.
