A NYT article on sexual abuse against Palestinians -accurate but barely scratching the surface- is triggering hysteria in the Israeli govt not bcs of the facts, but bcs of the audience.
Apartheid Israel fears NYT readers will finally see and no longer ignore.
Following the publication by Nicholas Kristof in The New York Times of one of the most hideous and distorted lies ever published against the State of Israel in the modern press, which also received the backing of the newspaper, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar have instructed the initiation of a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times.

Russia’s drone and missile strikes on Dnipro, Ukraine are the latest in a series of attacks on the country amid Russia's ongoing war of aggression. The strikes, which happened earlier today, injured at least 18 people. Among them were children. The attacks hit civilian buildings and set them alight, causing firefighters to attend the scene.
Last week, Russia carried out one of its largest aerial attacks yet on Ukraine, involving over 1,500 long-range drones and missiles. In Kyiv alone, one Russian strike on a residential building killed at least 24 people including children, as rescuers cleared the rubble. Across the city, dozens of civilians were injured and residential buildings were damaged. Earlier that day, other Ukrainian cities, including Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk, were also under attack, with civilians killed and injured there as well.
A UN vehicle carrying aid to Ukraine’s southern city of Kherson was also struck last week, followed by another hit while the delivery was underway.
Amnesty International has documented numerous war crimes and other crimes under international law committed by Russian forces since the beginning of its war of aggression against Ukraine. This includes deliberate attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. These are crimes under international law. Russia’s aggression must be stopped, and civilians in Ukraine must be protected.

Israeli authorities must halt all plans for the forcible transfer of the Palestinian Bedouin community of Khan al-Ahmar in the occupied West Bank, after Israeli finance minister @bezalelsm instructed the Civil Administration to initiate proceedings for the community’s displacement & destruction of property
Smotrich linked this threat to reports that the ICC Prosecutor has requested arrest warrants against him on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Unlawful transfer is a war crime and can constitute a crime against humanity, and threatening its use as a retaliatory measure against international justice demonstrates the extent of Israel’s disregard for international law.
The community of Khan al-Ahmar has been embroiled in a gruelling struggle against erasure, displacement& state-backed settler violence as part of Israel’s E1 plan, which seeks to bisect the West Bank & further fragment Palestinian communities under Israeli apartheid & occupation.
The international community must urgently act to protect Palestinians’ rights. State parties of the ICC must reject any retaliation against the ICC, and unequivocally support the Court in ensuring that those accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity are brought to justice

St Petersburg City Court in Russia has designated the Russian LGBTI Network an “extremist organisation.” This makes the third ruling of this kind within a month, with other LGBTI groups, Coming Out and the LGBT Resource Centre, being given the same "extremist" label last month. This further exacerbates Russia’s persecution of the so-called 'international LGBT movement.’
Russian authorities must immediately stop misusing anti-extremism legislation to repress LGBTI people and reverse all homophobic policies.

The Israeli military’s killing of Amal Khalil, Al-Akhbar journalist in Lebanon, has provoked anger and despair in Lebanon, where people have been forced to contend, again and again, with the Israeli military’s chilling disregard for civilian lives.
Since 2023, Israeli attacks have repeatedly killed journalists and paramedics in the course of their work. International investigations are urgently required. Not later, now.

#Lebanon: Civilians who have remained in their homes in villages in southern #Lebanon in Bint Jbeil district, are increasingly isolated and unable to access basic necessities, including humanitarian aid, medical care, food, water, and fuel, due to Israeli restrictions preventing aid convoys from reaching villages, attacks on medical and rescue workers & unsafe routes.
Residents in southern Lebanon told @amnesty that humanitarian aid convoys have almost ceased in recent days. And those who wish to leave for areas north of the Litani River are afraid to do so due to Israel's bombardment of bridges and unsafe alternative routes.
Parties to the conflict, including the #Israeli military and #Hezbollah, must facilitate safe passage for civilians wishing to leave conflict areas, ensure unfettered access to humanitarian aid for those remaining, and allow medics and ambulances to reach and treat the ill and wounded.
#Israel must not arbitrarily block humanitarian aid convoys. People who remain in southern Lebanon must have adequate access to food, water, medical care and essential supplies.

European leaders are all dismayed by Israel's "disproportionate" attacks on Lebanon yesterday.
Where have they been for the last month?
Were the targeting of health and civilian infrastructures, the killing of some over 1116 people killed, including 121 children, the one million people displaced, the ground troops and threat of a "buffer zone" - insufficient hints?
What about the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, the de facto annexation of the West Bank, the incredible level of violence directed at Palestinians throughout the occupied territory, the adoption of a racialised death penalty bill applicable to Palestinians only - mere incidents?
Enough with these diplomatic platitudes which have done nothing to stop a genocide, unlawful attacks, the killings of civilians and the destruction of their homes and communities.
It is more than time, beyond time, for the EU/Israel association agreement to be suspended.
It is more than time, beyond time, for all EU Governments to stop all military transfers to Israel and economic transactions that are supporting Israel's apartheid, unlawful occupation and genocide.

🚨 Just hours after the world cautiously welcomed news of a US-Israeli ceasefire with #Iran, in #Lebanon the nightmare for civilians has become more terrifying. Today has been the deadliest day since the latest round of fighting began on 2 March with an intense barrage of air strikes carried out across south Lebanon, the Beqaa valley and in crowded civilian areas in central #Beirut – many without warning. Hospitals have put out calls for blood donations, overwhelmed by the number of injured arriving.
We reiterate the urgent need #Israel to uphold its obligations under international humanitarian law and ensure civilians are protected. Israel has an appalling track record of carrying out unlawful attacks in Lebanon and displaying a callous disregard for civilian life, fueled by the impunity Israeli officials feel they enjoy.

USA og Israel har indledt et militært angreb på Iran, som har svaret igen med en række angreb på flere amerikanske baser i Mellemøsten.
Vi er dybt bekymret for civilbefolkningen i Iran og i de andre lande, der bliver angrebet.
