My Reforming and Enhancing Sustainable Updates to Laboratory Testing Services (RESULTS) Act will fix Medicare’s outdated payment system and protect access to lifesaving care for San Diegans. I’m grateful to have @ProbSolveCaucus’s support and look forward to getting this bill across the finish line.

The Problem Solvers Caucus is proud to endorse the RESULTS Act, bipartisan legislation that helps ensure Medicare beneficiaries continue to have access to high-quality diagnostic testing. Clinical laboratory services inform approximately 70% of clinical decisions and are essential to patient care. We thank @RepBrianFitz and @RepScottPeters for their bipartisan leadership to help ensure patients can access the care they need.

1/Linking future Medicare payments to the Medicare Economic Index (MEI) minus -1%, which would have meant hypothetically a ~2.5-2.9%+ in ‘27, is as @AndersGilberg said a “critical first step.” The Patients First Act deserves our serious consideration. fiercehealthcare.com/provide…

Appreciate it @MedEconomics. Thankfully this week’s spending bill restored the Medicare 1.0 work RVU GPCI floor, but physician practices need permanent solutions for this and other “extenders” to avoid unnecessary uncertainty. @MGMA
Policy volatility isn’t slowing down in 2026. @MGMA’s @AndersGilberg explains how delays, uncertainty & temporary fixes are disrupting physician practices — and what to watch next. 🎙 hubs.li/Q041-W7L0 Apple: hubs.li/Q041-XYX0 Spotify: hubs.li/Q041-Ygq0

Congress has extended key Medicare telehealth flexibilities through the end of 2027, creating more stability for practices and the patients they serve. MGMA’s updated 2026 Medicare Telehealth Policy resource explains what’s been extended, what remains in place, and how this continuity supports access to care while giving practices room to plan ahead. bit.ly/3ZObnPT

More evidence Congress needs to enact a permanent solution to telehealth flexibilities expiring at the end of the month. Pass the CONNECT for Health Act (S.1261; H.R. 4206) to allow Medicare beneficiaries to continue accessing vital telehealth services. Stop the cycle of short-term fixes. @MGMA
A new @umichmedicine study of nearly 539M Medicare visits finds telehealth hasn’t driven higher overall utilization. Visit volumes stayed flat or declined — even in specialties with heavy virtual care use — as Congress nears a telehealth deadline. 📰 hubs.li/Q03_8dYw0 👇

Replying to @ACEPAdvocacy
@ACEPAdvocacy (via a draft written by the Reimbursement Committee work group that I chair) wrote to @UHC protesting this policy as it relates to Point of Care Ultra-Sounds (POCUS) in 2025. UHC wrote back citing that their policy aligned w/ @CMSGov which is NOT true, as there is no "separate report" POCUS requirement for CMS. Once again, UHC earns its reputation as the most disliked and distrusted health plan in the USA, and this is just one more example of anti-clinician and hospital policies. UnitedHealthcare adds new roadblock around radiology reimbursement radiologybusiness.com/topics…
