Depending how this is worded if it becomes legislation it won't just be a tax on petrol and diesel, if it is on refined oil products it will also include plastic. How do we have a government which is so determined to destroy the country?

Unfortunately it seems my MP - @jon_trickett - wants myself and his other constituents to have scarcity of energy, and high prices for what they do get. We will use oil and gas from somewhere else if we don't use these fields - using them generates 78% tax on any profits.
I wrote to the Government with cross-party MPs last night opposing this decision. Rosebank and Jackdaw won’t cut bills they'll just boost profits of fossil fuel giants. If every country pursues its own deluded self interest the costs of climate breakdown will be unbearable.

RobbieC is either a parody account or he has the same total lack of understanding of economics and the environment as my MP. I'd reply to him directly but he's too cowardly to enter a discussion and has blocked me.

I remain to be convinced that he'll actually do this. The previous with the government is that there is almost no one in it who has worked in the private sector, let alone started a business. They don't understand what it involves, and are anything but entrepreneurial.

If the licence fee extends to watching on YouTube, Netflix, Amazon etc. so the BBC can continue to spout misinformation whilst claiming it to be the truth they'd better come and lock me up because there's no way I'm paying towards government propaganda. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

Well done Royal Mail - that's the first time for months that @autocar has been delivered on publication day, I'm amazed! Only problem is, last week's didn't arrive until this Monday so I've not had time to read it yet.

When I ran the Fulvia recently I saw that petrol was flowing out of the return pipe, the hose having perished. All hoses replaced with Cabins Benz now. Fortunately spotted when still on my drive, but no hose was more than 5 years old🤨 Make sure you check your file hose.

I can't read the Dutch language on the image but the AIVD is the intelligence and security agency of the Netherlands so maybe people should pay some attention to what they say.
De AIVD waarschuwt uitgebreid voor het gebruik van nieuwe, slimme auto’s. Doe je Chinese EV maar weg als je niet bespioneerd wilt worden

The BBC has just released a BOMBSHELL interview with the CEO of energy provider EDF. Among other things, he called the UK's energy policy "ideologically driven", and that "we are probably walking into another significant energy crisis," just four years after the last one. 🧵

🚨 LISA NANDY BOASTS ON STAGE ABOUT LABOUR DIGITAL CONTROL MASTER PLAN! Look at her smiling face as she announces the end of digital freedom in Britain. Lisa Nandy just bragged on stage that Britain will be the first country on earth to ban children from social media. This ban is the deliberate trojan horse for full state surveillance. To police this blackout, Labour will force every adult in the country to submit facial biometric scans and digital ID just to log onto the internet. They cannot police our borders or keep dangerous criminals in jail, but they will happily build an authoritarian digital cage around your family. Retweet this clip immediately to expose Lisa Nandy and resist the digital ID trap before it is too late. 🇬🇧🔥
