Thank you Fiona If people feel offended, they can always go and sit down and feel offended for however long it takes
Everyone try make sure @JohnCleese has every one of his shows sold out. Stop trying to shut down anyone that says things you don't like. I don't like everything everyone says, I state my opinions and debate and try converse with others that have different or just leave them to their opinions. I do not go around trying to force everyone that does not share my opinions to be quiet or cancel them. There are plenty of comedians that talk about other religions or races or subjects, that many people do not like, so they don't go to their shows. If you do not like their comedy or views , do not watch them. Its that simple. Stop trying to cancel people because you don't like what they say.

MEET JONATHAN REYNOLDS. THE MAN NOW IN CHARGE OF THE ENTIRE BRITISH ECONOMY. This is the UK's new Business Secretary. He has never run a business. He has never even worked for one. 🤡 He knows absolutely nothing about risk taking, entrepreneurship, or meeting a payroll. He has never had to hire staff, remortgage his house to provide working capital, or skip his own salary so his employees could have theirs! In fact, he could not even manage to finish his basic training to become a solicitor. Yet the Westminster elite think he is qualified to dictate how British businesses are run! How can we expect our economy to grow when the people running it have never spent a single day in the private sector? They are career politicians who have spent their entire lives living off the taxpayer. RT if you are completely sick of clueless career politicians running our country into the ground! 🇬🇧🔥

Everyone should follow this account, absolute truth & common sense.
You walk past a field. There is a bull in it. That is what you see. A bull. In a field. Have a closer look. The grass under his hooves is deeper-rooted than it looks. Two, three feet down in places, because his grazing has been stimulating root growth for the six years he has been in this field. Those roots are pulling atmospheric carbon into the soil at a rate the climate modellers would weep over if they ever thought to measure it. The soil itself is alive. A single teaspoon from beneath Gerald contains more microorganisms than there are humans on earth. Bacteria. Fungi. Protozoa. Nematodes. A functioning microbial civilisation built by his manure, year after year, pat after pat, feeding a soil structure that holds rainwater like a sponge. The earthworms are working. Roughly 400 per square metre under a well-grazed pasture, which is approximately ten times the count in the arable field two hedges over. They are aerating the soil, cycling nutrients, and feeding the badger who patrols the field at night. The dung beetles are on duty. Up to a hundred species compete for a fresh cowpat in a British summer. They bury it. They break it down. They aerate the ground as they go. Without them the pasture would stop functioning within a year. The cowpat itself, fresh, supports roughly 300 species of invertebrate in its first week of existence. Flies. Beetles. Wasps. Parasitic nematodes. A small, smelly ecosystem the size of a dinner plate, which Gerald produces ten to fifteen times a day. The hedgerow around his field is dense because Gerald keeps eating the shoots that try to grow outwards. It supports, in turn, around 2100 species of invertebrate, bird and wildflower. The skylark is nesting in it. The wren is hunting it. The hedgehog is using it as a corridor to the next field. The yellowhammer is on the gate. The pipit is on the wall. The swifts are working the air above Gerald's head, because the flies around him are what they eat. The barn owl quarters the field at dusk, because the short-grazed grass lets her see the voles. The wildflowers along his field boundary number, at last count, 31 species. Tormentil. Eyebright. Bird's-foot trefoil. Self-heal. Red clover. The wildflowers support the bees. The bees support the pollination of the next farm's orchard. The orchard supports the apples being pressed in the village. A horseshoe bat was recorded feeding over the field last August. First record in the parish in thirty years. The soil beneath Gerald has gained approximately 1.5 tonnes of carbon per hectare per year since he arrived. His field alone has offset the annual emissions of about forty British households. Gerald does not know any of this. Gerald is eating grass. He has been eating grass, continuously, for four years, on the same 12-acre field, and in that time he has supported more biodiversity, more carbon sequestration, and more ecological complexity than most conservation projects with a salaried team and a press office. He has done it for free. He requires only rain and grass. He has asked for nothing. People are trying to cancel Gerald for this.

28 years ago, Tony Blair strides into No.10 with that smug grin… and Britain’s decline begins. Mass immigration, endless wars, sovereignty sold out. This was the moment it all went wrong. ❤️ RT & follow if you agree this marked the UK’s downfall 🇬🇧

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, The local elections dictated that no news could be released until they were completed. I’ve had a bit of a break in sunny Greece. 10 days this time 😎😎 So where do we begin. From the brilliant conference yesterday organised by @DNChamber of Commerce, Where the Airport and Gateway East featured with a panel on stage and Munich Airport International CEO attended online, discussing what’s next for Doncaster Sheffield Airport and the South Yorkshire Airport City The recent funding from central government of 30 million pounds and the expected funding from SYMCA and Oliver Coppard was one of the main topics of discussion. We have a short wait for SYMCA and Oliver Coppard to make their decision this is expected in the summer, there is no definite date for this. Also mentioned was the Airspace. Now even though we had our petition to try and reinstate the Airspace with over 16,300 signatures and support from our mps and others in government. It became apparent that if the secretary of state for transport called in the decision on the airspace the legal argument and the timescale involved would not give CDC the opportunities they wanted. While these discussions were taking place it became apparent that the CAA and the Department for Transport were offering to work with everyone involved. To fast track the application. An update posted early last month stated the Civil Aviation Authority had removed the Airspace at DSA. This gave City of Doncaster Council and their advisors the opportunity to get a new airspace at DSA that was more suitable to the new planned operation at our airport. Since this announcement last month meetings have taken place with all involved the CAA DFT CDC working together to get an agreed process and a plan in place to enable a rapid and safe certification of the aerodrome Some other positive news we've heard today. With the appointment of a New Director of Operations at DSA the successful applicant has experience in aviation with a proven history, having come from East Midlands Airport. @MyDoncaster @MayorRos @DoncasterDamian @SouthYorksMCA @olivercoppard @BusinessinDN #saveDSA #saveDSAairspace #syorksairportcity #teamdoncaster #teamDSA #investment #aviation #localeconomy #regionalsupport #teameffort

So Today is the 20 year anniversary of the first flight leaving the newly opened DSA (Robin Hood Airport ) Also On April 28, 2005, several significant events occurred. These include the first official release of the free and open-source operating system, Linux, The formation of Facebook by Mark Zuckerberg In 1789, mutineers led by Fletcher Christian took control of the ship HMS Bounty three weeks after departing Tahiti, setting the ship’s captain, Lieutenant William Bligh, and 18 other crew members adrift in the Pacific Ocean. In 1945, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were executed by Italian partisans after attempting to flee the country. In 1947, a six-man expedition led by Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl set out from Peru aboard a balsa wood raft named the Kon-Tiki on a 101-day, 4,300 mile (6,900 km) journey across the Pacific Ocean to the Polynesian Islands. In 1967, heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali was stripped of his WBA title after he refused to be inducted into the armed forces. ____________________________________ The opening flight from Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA), then known as Robin Hood Airport, was a flight to Palma de Mallorca (PMI) on April 28, 2005, operated by Thomsonfly. The flight departed at 9:15 am. Here's a few pictures I've found on good old Google I've seen at least 2 comments today and one post from members Were you on that flight ?? Let's see any pictures you may have post them in the comments Please share your memories of the day And the flight What was the cost of the flights can you remember Here's some history of the timeline Maiden Flight: The inaugural flight on April 28, 2005, was a Thomsonfly flight to Palma, Majorca (PMI). Thomsonfly's Initial Routes: Thomsonfly, established in 2004, initially offered a variety of city routes, including Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Pisa, Prague, and Valencia, before transitioning to more bucket and spade Mediterranean routes. Other Early Airlines: Ryanair (FR) also launched Dublin (DUB) routes in April 2005, and Thomas Cook (MT) commenced a weekly flight to Monastir (MIR) in July. Airport's Initial Ambitions: DSA, when it opened in 2005, was built on the site of the former RAF Finningley airbase and had ambitious goals of serving a large number of passengers. TUI's Continued Presence: Even after the closure of the airport in 2022, TUI was the last remaining airline at DSA and operated the final passenger arrival, a flight from Egypt. TUI has also expressed interest in returning to DSA if it reopens. The former Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) has been a major talking point for locals, politicians, and airline groups as the site looks set to potentially re-open in spring 2026 after being abandoned for three years. The South Yorkshire site was acquired by Peel Group in 1999 and converted into an international commercial airport - launching its first flight in 2005. Since then, significant investment has been made in the formerly named Robin Hood Airport to improve both its facilities and infrastructure. Having once served a host of major destinations like Berlin, Dubrovnik, and Paris, all flights were eventually grounded in November 2022 when Peel Group announced that the 800-acre site was no longer financially viable. Today, the former RAF base lies empty, but with hopes for it to reopen in 2026 - The elections this week will be the deciding factor on the outcome of the last 2 years and 6 months hard work that's been undertaken by the local authorities Will we see scenes like this again ?? Let's hope so !!!! @MyDoncaster @MayorRos @DoncasterDamian @DNChamber @DonnyFreePress @yorkshirepost @BBCSheffield @DarrenBurkeSYN @StephDonnyStar @SouthYorksMCA @olivercoppard #saveDSA #saveDSAairspace #syorksairportcity

Here's the video from Doncaster Chamber from the hustings event yesterday. Bruce asked our question for the group We recieved some positive answers listening to some. Though there may be further delays, Depending on who becomes mayor, Did our question get answered by all I don't actually think it did 🤔. 2.5 years nearly we have been involved in the campaign to get our airport reopened should this project be delayed any more ?? Do the candidates want to continue with someone else's project. Will they change it and just ignore the people of Doncaster and surrounding area's With 130,000 signatures on the first petition 33,000 followers/members on social media 16,300 + signatures for our airspace 179,000 plus individual actions in support of reopening our airport (there maybe some duplications) I'll leave you all to watch this and make up your own decisions, I know my decision if we want our Airport Reopened in a timely manner. I'm turning off comments as the political debates and posturing appears to be getting out of hand recently with so many members who feel the need to disrupt this group because of their own political reasonings. Wow !!! What a month so far !!! The Chancellor announced full support for our airport. We've had an adjournment debate by Lee Pitcher in parliament on the economic contribution and benefits that a reopened DSA will bring. The Aviation Minister Mike Kane offered full support. In prime ministers' questions, Sally Jameson asked the PM for support to get our airport reopened. Kier Starmer offered full support John Healey came to Doncaster for a Doncaster Chamber event. The airport was a topic of conversation, with support for the reopening. This week, we've had Munich Airport MD and directors at DSA, along with the consultants FP Airports and the City of Doncaster Council. With a presentation !!! I can't go into the details, unfortunately Mohammad Tayer The Airport Guy Joined us along with some Doncaster and South yorkshire consultants and business people Our community and local jobs were a good topic of discussion. So it's thumbs up from me 👍👍. The airspace was mentioned a few times. I do know that in parliament last week, the DSA Action Group (mps from our region set up to champion our cause in government) met with the Department for Transport. With some mention of the airspace. Now I'm still banging the drum about the petition to #saveDSAairspace. Over the last 2 and a half years, we have had over 179,000 people sign petitions join the group, participate, or follow our social media accounts, This is unprecedented. Most campaigns for airports are to restrict flights or operations. The Work We have All done on here and other accounts liking, sharing, commenting, etc. has made a big difference to what's happening with DSA. I'm told we do have an opportunity to still make a difference. Please sign and share the petition to reinstate our Airspace when needed. The secretary of state for transport Heidi Alexander MP has an opportunity to call in the decision on the airspace and allow full reinstatement when all the relevant qualifications and certifications are in place So please sign and share the petitions lnkd.in/eDdNjFe2 @MyDoncaster @MayorRos @DNChamber @BusinessinDN @DoncasterDamian @MUC_Airport @FPAirports @sheffchamber @brchamberuk #saveDSA #saveDSAairspace #syorksairportcity

Doncaster's @LeePitcherMP has called on the Government to commit to getting the reopening of Doncaster Sheffield Airport 'over the line'. Last night he told the commons that losing DSA was a bitter blow. The Aviation Minister said they will work with the Council & Mayor

With the Daily articles that keep appearing in the media, that seem to have taken a delight in pouring cold water on our project to #SaveDSA Here in Doncaster we are just getting on with the job!!! 2 Excel have returned to DSA with flights in and out. Munich Airport International have been announced as the operator working with Fly Doncaster and FP Airports. The business case was submitted to The Subsidies Committee Which received a positive outcome, some further work was identified that will be addressed While SYMCA are doing due diligence to ensure the project will stand up to further scrutiny, Munich Airport International M.D. Dr Lutz Weisser has been on @BBCLookNorth and @BBCSheffield sheffield The new operators of Doncaster Sheffield Airport have said they are "confident" it will be financially viable if it reopens - but added that it was "too early" to announce airlines or destinations. German firm @MUC_Airport international (MAI) will provide operational and management services to Fly Doncaster, a company set up by Doncaster Council to run the airport. The council said securing MAI was a significant milestone in its plans to reopen the site by spring 2026. We need some clarity here though There are one or two points that the media articles keep referencing. It mainly surrounds funding for our project or to be exact Public Funding !! Let’s start with a bit of a history lesson Leeds Bradford Airport or Yeadon which started out pre war as a small general aviation aerodrome. Now this is an important fact. Owned by the local Authorities of Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees So Publicly owned and funded. Until 2006 when it was sold off. Manchester Airports Group Limited, known as MAG is a British airport operator which owns three British airports: Manchester Airport, East Midlands Airport, and Stansted Airport. The Group operates under Manchester Airports Holdings Limited, a holding company owned by the ten metropolitan borough councils of Greater Manchester, and Australian investment fund IFM Investors. Founded in 2001, Still owned by local Authorities to date along with IFM. Teesside Airport On 4 December 2018, the Mayor of the Tees Valley Ben Houchen announced a £40M deal had been agreed to buy Peel Airport's 89% majority shareholding in Durham Tees Valley Airport, which if approved would bring the airport back into public ownership for the first time since it was sold to Peel in 2003. The deal would be completed subject to ratification from the leaders of the five local authorities that made up the Tees Valley Combined Authority Publicly owned and operated. So, a public funded airport is nothing new!! What's all the fuss about then? Why are LBA and the media getting so involved !! Loosing 20% of their customers may have something to do with it?? Does this 20 % equate to the same flights and passengers they gained when DSA closed?? LBA is investing in their airport, Perhaps they’re concerned that a re-opened DSA may upset their plans and business model. Surely these 2 airports should be able to work together to offer the region exactly what it needs, options and a choice of destinations and or airlines with different budgets, #saveDSA #saveDSAairspace #syorkscityairport #teamdoncaster #teamDSA
