I just...I don’t get it. I don’t get why comics writers seem to think that marriage means the end to a story and that you can’t write things beyond that. It’s been a trope for some time now and I’m tired of it. You can, as a hero, have BOTH and the world doesn’t end! Go figure!

if I recall correctly, this film was made in part to counter tim burtons racist statement of black people not fitting his "aesthetic" which is such a baller move honestly. this movie looks beautiful and kat herself oozes charm

Tim Burton did not say Black people don't fit his aesthetic. In 2016 he said diversity should fit the story, citing Brady Bunch tokenism. Wendell & Wild development started 2015; Peele wanted a Black lead for kids like him to see themselves.
