building from bangalore. small team.
here's the thing. people keep talking about "software factories." i don't buy it. it's a slide word. what works for us is simpler: ship, get paid, put the tokens where they actually save time.
pixelwand is the product. most "ai crm" demos i see are a chatbot stuck on a contact list. the hard part is calls, sms, email, whatsapp, campaigns, and one inbox that doesn't lie to the rep. that's what i'm building. slow. boring. useful.
brickkit came out of that. i needed the patterns for the crm, so i pulled them into a framework and open sourced it. mit. still rough. still mine. not a brand story. just so i stop rebuilding the same backend every quarter.
none of this is a factory. it's a thin team in a city that isn't the valley, shipping without enough people to hide behind process.
agents draft so i can decide. they also keep making the same bug unless the codebase blocks them. so i stopped "fixing the agent" and started fixing the path. types. ci. checks. a missing stripe env that took a production site down for hours wasn't a prompt problem. that was a missing gate.
i still do the client calls. i still write the posts. i still own the roadmap. the bots handle triage, drafts, digests. the stuff that used to eat the morning before any real work.
if you're building outside the valley with a small team, more agents won't save you. judgment will. and a codebase that doesn't fight you.
still early. still shipping.

Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are:
• Proprietary data
• Network effects
• A physical component

Price a self-hosted stack honestly.
Supabase is six services and a Postgres. Per-service billing turns that into six line items and a database add-on.
On Miget it is one 4 GiB plan at $25/mo, and everything inside it, databases included, is $0 per service.

The most important briefings of the day.

Be accessible, but not to the whole world.
Be quick to respond to few people. You are not responsible to reply to everyone. Decrease your cognitive load. No need to feel guilty about it.
Some calls are supposed to be missed, some texts are fine to see and not reply. Let them judge.
Make peace with this and live a chill life.

"Self-hosted" usually means you now run a database at 2am.
Most of what people self-host is a compose file plus a Postgres nobody wants to operate. Take the compose file, hand the Postgres to somebody managed, and self-hosting stops meaning on call.

Looking for a great devrel & community manager to join my team at @youdotcom
If you’ve built around web search, APIs or AI infra, and you also love growing communities, hosting meetups, hackathons, writing content, and scaling programs globally — I’d love to chat.
Know someone who’d be a great fit? Send them my way!

Mr. Coxon is right.
The very people building this technology admit that it could threaten the future of humanity.
That is why I will soon be introducing legislation to ban superintelligence and pause AI development.

Today marks a major step for Mistral: we’re announcing a €3B Series D, the largest equity round ever raised by a European tech company, just three years after launch.

The biggest lie in the AI agent space right now:
"Once it's built, it runs itself."
Most agents need constant babysitting, evaluation, and context updates.
The ones that actually run for months are usually the boring, narrowly scoped ones.
Autonomy is still mostly marketing.

We've raised $7.5M to democratize AI agents and help every business become AI-native, without the vendor lock-in.
Most companies face a binary choice: lock your entire AI strategy into one vendor, or fragment across dozens of point solutions that become operational nightmares.
The reality is that your teams are already using desktop agents, with or without your approval.
xpander gives you control and ownership on your AI stack , with full flexibility and governance without compromising performance.

Replying to @aribagaev @supabase
Honestly the only thing with all of that is Supabase itself. Self-hosted it is 8 services behind Kong, Edge Functions as an optional profile, so nothing is missing. About $49/mo of infra. Full sizing writeup if it helps: deployable.sh/apps/supabase (I build it).

Miget.com first cloud platform built around dynamic resource sharing. Instead of paying for idle compute, your apps intelligently share CPU—cutting costs massively.

It’s been a minute.
2015–2018
- Exited FreeCharge. Spent time learning and investing.
- Pondered about: Why can't trust be rewarded? Started with $1M of personal capital.
- Launched CRED to reward people for paying credit card bills on time.
2019–2025
- Built a system run by a team that values ownership, judgment, and craft.
- Grew from 0 to 17M members by aligning incentives with behaviour.
- Built several products during COVID lockdowns.
- Raised $900M+ from global investors. Did 4 ESOP buybacks.
- Made Indiranagar and IPL ads slightly more interesting.
- Received a full stack of regulatory licences.
- Lost 35 kilos.
- Scaled from 0 to ~$325M ( ~₹3,200 crore) in annual revenue across payments, lending, insurance, commerce, wealth, and credit cards.
2026
- First profitable quarter (yet occasionally asked what our business model is)
- Raised another $900M from Meta in primary and secondary capital.
- Announcing our 5th ESOP buyback.
Today
CRED is ready for its next phase. I am stepping back and @miten steps in as interim CEO, partnered with an incredibly talented team. He has been heading strategy and finance and suffering me since 2020. I’m stepping away from the operating role and will continue as a shareholder. My commitment doesn’t change. Just the role.
Extremely grateful to our members, partners, regulators, and investors who made this possible. And to our board, Shailendra, Micky, Saurabh for their extraordinary conviction.
Team CRED, I’ll still expect you to be a 10x version of yourselves.
As for me, I’ll be joining Meta to lead WhatsApp globally.
Meta comes in as a minority investor in CRED. No access to member data.
While it’s come very far, the delta between WhatsApp today and its full potential is massive. I look forward to working with Mark, Chris, and the leadership across Meta for the next step in WhatsApp’s journey. Will, thank you for scaling something the world relies on quietly, and for making this transition smooth.
Onwards.

Side Income Idea: if you have an app, then make a constraint that the username must have 5 characters, below that, pay 5$ a month. If the user misses the payment, add a random word to the username.

What started as a dicussion on discord voice chat
From a Discord chat to an 11th-floor office in Noida’s IT hub.
What started as an open-source project with 50+ contributors turned into something none of us fully anticipated — @PixelwandHQ
In the early days, we were juggling between college and writing code from our apartment. We were figuring out how to get our first client — and when none came, we decided to build our own product.
That first product wasn’t perfect. But it taught us everything — and surprisingly, it brought us our first big client.
Not everything was smooth. We lost some key team members — and with them, came our lowest moment. But we didn’t break. We learned, grew wiser, and came back stronger.
Today, as we step into our new office at Noida, it feels like a small validation that we’re on the right path.
When I first entered this space, my teammate by my side, I felt a calm clarity: This is the place I want to build in.
To some, this might look like just an office.
But for me — a boy who couldn’t afford tuition once, who almost gave up on education after 12th — this space is proof that dreams born in scarcity can find a place in abundance.
When my parents visited the new office, I saw their eyes — part disbelief, part pride. That moment will stay with me forever.
At Pixelwand, our ethos is simple:
Learn by building.
Deliver more than expected.
Never compromise on quality.
This office isn’t a destination — it’s just the beginning.
Let’s build more. Together.
